"What do you say oh your fluidness Sorrack? Think we can manage to gang up whatever lies behind these doors or should we just get the hell away from this place asap? Sam? Feeling adventurous and all that Ktronik jazz?"

"I'm not much of a fighter. In fact, I have no skill in it whatsoever, but we've done all right. Or you lot have while I added class and style. Lead on."

I think we should take a look. We got some salvage but who knows what else is here. Don't look forward to going all the way back up only to come back down. I say we pile our loot at the stairs first though, so if we retreat we are closer to getting the stuff up to the top.

You stack your salvage near the bottom of the stairwell and make your way back towards the two last doors. Those doors strangely don't seem to be locked, unlike all the other doors on this floor. A quick look inside leads you to believe those used to be some sort of restroom or lavatories. You doubt there is anything of value in there, unless you feel like the Frontier is in dire need of new alien toilet technology...

"Why is there two? That seems strange. You meatbags have odd customs, I'll admit, so I'll leave you to judge that."

Let's go and move on up to the next level.
OOC:
do we know how many levels we have to go still?

OOC:
You know there's another 4 floors left.
You make your way back to the stairs, the robot is a bit difficult to drag upstairs, especially if you want to avoid damaging it... You eventually reach the next floor, which you recognize as the one where you fought all those crab things and where Nero got his electromagnetic gadget thingie... You do remember that the doors were also locked on this level.

I suggest we try to see if we can open the door in the southeast of this floor. I am not a locksmith so i am not sure how much I can help.

"Meh, we could try to muscle our way through it if need be."

Mesec looks around the floor in case the crabs left anything of the spare suit he clumsily used as a noise damper on their way down.

OOC:
Using force to open the doors is always an alternative if Sorrack is starting to run low on his Techkit...
Mesec does not find any traces of his crabs friend, other then the ones you murdered here... He checks his space space suit and notice some of the crabs did bite into it and punctured it a bit when it served as an untimely distraction. It is salvageable, but it will definitely provide no protection from the vacuum of space, not before some repairs at least.

Sorrack works his magic yet again, and you enter a room which seems like some sort of data centre. You have gutted pieces of alien equipment which may or may not have been servers. Hard to say with them being all melted like that.

You would almost be tempted to ask yourself who could have done this if it were not for the 3 holes leaking crab guts being a good indicator...

"That was a bust..." says Mesec as he puts the damaged suit in his backpack.
"Now let's see door number two..." he says and sprints back towards the staircase, making a pivot kick against the wall, slamming himself onto the other door.

Mesec kicks the door, but it does not budge. It seems like this might require some tool assistance...
May 1, 2022 7:31 pm
Sorrack winces as Mesec's leg connects to the door. "Did that hurt? It looked like it would hurt."
May 1, 2022 7:35 pm
"Yes Sorrack, it does hurt. We don't all have the luxury of being as malleable and fluid as you." he said wincing and in a declining mood, as if it was either Sorrack's fault for asking, the door's for not bulging or even both.

"Is it a matter of honor now or do you want me to try the knob?"

Knocking is the polite thing to do., she says trying not to laugh but a small giggle slips out.

Sorrack knocks on the door, but his soft pseudopod hands just make a soft squelching noise. "There's a trick to this, isn't there?" He pulls out a rock sample from his body and uses that to bang on the door loudly three times.

Sorrack knocks on the metallic door with his ore sample. A loud metallic clang sounds resonate in the empty complex. For a moment, you fear you might have attracted unwanted attention... until you are answered with the splotch of crab guts falling on the floor in the next room and remember they all most likely were killed by the EMP blast...

While the door does not open, Sorrack does notice he left a really small dent in it. Perhaps more vigorous knocking might allow you to demolish the door but this might come at the cost of one of your precious sample... Of course, Sorrack does not need as big of a hole as the rest of the group...
