You follow the sound, which takes you towards the centre of the room and the pile of 8 crates. You're pretty sure this sound comes from there... As you advance towards the pile of crates, you notice some sort of machine in one of the alcoves. It is running, but also riddled with holes, similar to what those strange creatures did to your escape pods. There are a few sparks here and there indicating the machine is damaged...

Then one of those creatures exits one of the holes. Spotting you, it tries to make a beeline for you, but the machines makes a strange whirling noise and sparks a lot at that point. The creature stops and seems to be screaming in pain for a few moment before exploding in a gory fashion. Then the machine short-circuits and shuts down, and the lights in the hangar goes off, plunging you in total darkness, aside from the bit of light near the opened doors at the entrance.

And the scratching continues, somewhere inside those crates, near you, in the dark... Hope you have some sort of lighting source...

As Nero starts examining the crates, he realizes they're also been bored full of holes. Suddenly, another flat crab/spider like creature bursts out and attempts to bite Nero... Nero is bit for 8 BP.

Edit: Since the RHB tells me to resolve ties in initiative however I wish, I think I'll go with AGL scores, and it that ties again, PER scores, and if that ties again, we'll just roll a die as a tiebreaker. Sounds good?

Nero has one action and it is a burstfire attacks with his autopistol on the crab. Perhaps excessive, but he doesn't care.

The creature will attempt to dodge that, taking the -20 "hard" penalty for dodging firearms and lasers without any cover... Yeah, Nero splatters the bug with a hail of bullet fire. Combat over.

As we moved a bit away from the storage boxes and it is quiet now, Sure. I like to see your technic. I usually work on more serious wounds. Be watchful I tend to heal fast.

Trudy lowers his integrated blaster. A red targeting dot disappears. He turns and continues to the stairs, intent on accessing the control booth.

Past the stack of crates, Trudy will make its way towards the stairs between the two rooms (probably storage, hard to say with this strange alien language written on the doors...). Trudy will notice the staircase leads up and down, and next to the staircase, there seems to be a shaft, not unlike what would normally be used by a lift. No signs of the lift though...

Samantha uses the "borrowed" medkit and pulls out some antiobotics and applies it to Nero's wound and then when she is satisfied sprays some flesh-seal onto it.

I guess that will be First-Aid as Field Surgery has the potential to heal a lot more wounds than what Nero just lost and can be done only once per day (unlike First-Aid which is pretty much unlimited but must be done after an encounter, for more details see PHB p.48). So Nero would regain 5 BP and Sam would spend 1 provision from her healing kit.
