Well done. I see you have had some good training. Now we need to find the control center here.
OOC:
Nero exchanged clips and has a full 20 shots now.

Sorrack wonders over to the lift shaft, looks around for a control box.
Apr 5, 2021 1:20 pm
Looking around, Sorrack fails to notice any sort of control panel...
Apr 5, 2021 4:30 pm
Using his communicator, he reports to Sam his findings
Quote:
Past the stack of crates, towards the stairs between the two rooms (probably storage, hard to say with this strange alien language written on the doors...); the staircase leads up and down, and next to the staircase, there seems to be a shaft, not unlike what would normally be used by a lift. No signs of the lift
then continues upwards on the stairs toward the control booth.

Nero feeling better is in a fast stride to catch up and locate the control panel for this place.

Trudy will notice that the control room is floor to ceiling windows, to allow a good view of the hangar below. In front of each window sits a computer bank with two terminals each. In front of each terminal are strange ovals indentation in the computer banks, but no seats. The terminals seems to be either off or in some kind of standby mode.

There is a chair, on a raised platform, with its own terminal in the centre of the room. Something seems to be blinking on the small screen of that terminal, in an unknown alien language.

Via comm unit to the others. "Computer terminal located. Alien language. Translation required. Standing by."

Sorrack thinks to himself "I’m fairly good at languages". He starts his way up to the control room.

As Nero arrives, Go for it Sorrack. I don't think that I could do better. Nero is standing around with a loaded blaster as he will watch Trudy and Sorrack do what they can. He is sure Sam will be here shortly and if not he will get on his wristcom and find out where she is.

Blaster? You mean your auto-pistol?
Apr 6, 2021 2:51 pm
Ah yeah.. LOL.. I should have looked up the character.. bad memory.

Samantha follows everyone to the control room.

Strange creatures attacking best not be on my own if i can help it. , she thinks as she goes and checks out what Trudy has found.

Everyone climbs up to the control room. It will become quickly evident that the strange symbols on the chair's monitor are the same alien language on the control panel outside which allowed you to open the doors.

You can all make in INT check at -20 to try and figure out what the screen on the chair is asking of you.
OOC:
Hey, Sorrack, did you fill out your moral code or is it all left at default?

Samantha looks at the controls seeing if anything stands out to her.

OOC:
My intent is that Sorrack has not yet solidified his moral code. He is somewhat fluid at this time

Sorrack looks at the screen on the calling on his training and experience as a linguist.

Sorrack will notice that it is indeed a language, albeit, an unknown alien one. Of course, completely deciphering it will more likely require months is not years of study... though, it seems the flashing "text" on the screen seems to be asking for some sort of user authorization, which is what Nero and Sam managed to deduce as well.

However, before Sorrack could relay that information, Nero decided to touch the screen in order to "deal with it"... The text disappeared only to be replaced by an orange box on a grey background in which something not unlike an unrelenting blinking cursor seems to be flashing... The computer seems to be waiting for you to input a password. A password in a strange alien language none of you understand...
Apr 9, 2021 6:55 pm
Nero looks over everything and is looking to input "123456" to ever how many spaces appear to be present. He is looking for a roll of what he consider to be numbers and enters them. I will see if I can get this to work.
OOC:
See if it is the same code that is on his luggage. *** Space Balls ***

Sorrack looks around for the alien equivalent of a sticky note with a password on it. All cultures are different, and yet in some ways they are all the same.

Rolls

Luck - (1d100)

(100) = 100
