Chapter 3 - To Cholganna

Pergano looks up at the giant ship...finally something he understands on this world. Even if it is crash landed.

Water will move to the lowest parts of the ship, maybe we should start on top and see what we can find until we can't any longer...

'Any way to confirm this is our target? What about that droid?' asks Ken. He doesn't fancy swimming in a crashed starship.
Apr 15, 2021 5:37 pm
" Let's check if there is any traces of survivors also."
Apr 15, 2021 5:41 pm
"It may also be advisable to calculate the trajectory of the current. Passengers and materials may have been deposited along the riverbank."
Apr 15, 2021 5:44 pm
'How long ago did this crash? I'm not sure there will be any passengers left by now!'
Apr 15, 2021 6:03 pm
"Finding the remains of passengers may yield vital clues. Survivors or operating droids would be an additional benefit."

My guess is it crashed shortly after disappearing at the end of the Clone Wars. Not sure if it was scuttled or just from an emergency though

'In this jungle there will be few remains within a couple of days!' laughs Ken.

Indeed, this ship has been here since the end of the Clone Wars. With just a little investigation you are sure that this is the engine section of a Banking Clan Frigate. AD-hoc surmises from the angle of the impact and gouge marks in the rocky sides of the river gorge that the rest of the ship may continue to the North along the river.

'Is there going to be much in the engine section or will we push on?'

Pergano is pretty sure there's nothing of real value in the Engine section of the ship. At least three quarters of the section is flooded and the rushing water has rusted and worn most of what you can see. Also, from the angle that the ship is wedged in, it would probably take climbing gear just to get into the ship and exploring could be quite dangerous.

Let us continue north to the further section. This section of the ship probably is just more or less technical sections, what we are looking for would probably be closer to crew quarters/bridge areas.

'Agreed' AD-hoc replies as they prepare to continue on. Although this was one of the biggest vehicles he'd ever seen and probably contained things that would fascinate and amaze a repair droid, it had little value to the current mission.

'Let's keep moving while we've still got a head start' says Ken.

Heading north around the engine section brings into full view the lake that has been created by the engine sections blockage of this small river. A large flat-ish area runs along the East side of the lake.

You continue North for several more hours when on the lake’s eastern shore, you see what at first appears to be a large, irregularly shaped hill randomly covered in vines and scraggly vegetation, partially concealed by the jungle canopy. Perched on the hill at a prominent but odd angle appears to be the ruins of a large building with most of the transparisteel windows broken out. You suddenly realize you're looking at the forward, sloped section of the [i]Sa Nalaor[i] and its bridge. It is facing northwest, toward the lake. Its forward, shell-like hull is splayed, with the lower decks buried and crushed into the old river bank.

Lets get moving to the ship. Don't want to get stuck out here if it gets dark.

'Agreed. Searching the ship will be less complicated during the day.'
OOC:
do we need to roll a check to sort for some sort of entrance/access

Finding an entrance to the ship is the easier than you'd think, numerous gashes in the hull from the crash as well as empty escape pod tubes allow entrance. As you walk along the ship, you can see that the transparisteel windows from the bridge are shattered. You could climb up to or possibly be lowered onto the bridge through the broken windows. Also, you see several spots around the ship that are big enough for your ship to land. The tree canopy hides them from the air, but from the ground they appear simple enough for a ship to come in.
OOC:
Hard (3P) Perception for any hidden details. Also, let me know if you want Dancy to bring the ship up and if you wish to enter the ship, pick an entry method.

Pointing up at the windows Ken says, 'If we can get up there we might be able to access the bridge computer, find out what happend after they landed.'

Looking around the ship he notices clearings where their own ship could land. 'Take a look for anyone around, any defences, because otherwise we could land our ship here, make getting away a lot quicker.'
OOC:
Maybe Ken could roll his advantages into someone else's check, maybe he points some things out that they look closer at
