I thought remnant was talking about the 6 threat and how I accidentally dismembered the dwarf and made it into the book of grudges 😂

info/advantages on dwarven guild /politics could be useful, but having a divine reading of this dragon vomit could be also relevant (though dismembered dwarf if probably here to stay with those threats! 😝)

What do you guys think?

Well, I promise not to leave you in the dark about the cause of the goop forever, so you'll get the information eventually! :) Getting it through divine insight might just forewarn you a bit. So totally your call!

CESN says:
OOC:
So charmed him with 3 adv and failed divination with 6 threats and 2 triumphs:
Charm advantages: could he shed some light one what is going on here? The issue with between barony/miners or rumors about strange thing in the tunnels before the accident some strange doings of the Dribbage?

Triumphs for divination. If not related to the check, could this suggest the source of the goop? Maybe remembering some of the old stories or... tripping on them xD
OOC:
OK, going with this idea.
"Gettle, eh?" The Dwarf wheezes. "Poor bloke means well, but he's out of his depth. No one seems to have any idea what happened down there. And I'm tired of being some pawn in some petty games." The older Dwarf's temples start to pulse as he gets himself steamed up. His son puts a cold compress on his father's head and tries to calm him down.

The older Dwarf continues: "Sorry—the politics of this whole thing drive me mad. Apparently the Dribbage people think they can fix the Cailn curse. Great. More work for my guild. But why does Renash need us to run the tunnel right under the Ash Heaps? Well, I'll tell you why—if it works, he brings uncursed water here, to the castle. He draws settlers. He does an end-run around Nornholt."

As the Dwarf talks, Nekurr focuses on the man's affliction, muttering a prayer to Fortuna under his breath.

SavageBob sent a note to CESN
From Hildar and Tronus's perspective, Nekurr seems to go into a deep trance. Then he starts trembling.
OOC:
For the 6 threat, CESN, give me an upgraded Daunting (RPPP) Fear check to represent this frightening vision!

OOC:
fear the purple eyes!
Nekurr doesn't listen to anything the dwarf is saying. As the vision takes over him, he babbles for a moment "Curse. Cailn. Ash. Dragom. Heaps". though the words come out just at the right time for Norc to notice the cleric's absence
OOC:
could advantage be used to clarify what that little sad an friendly creature is/was? like is it living or dead? Is it directly related to the accident or the tunnels? that sort of things

Tronus leans into Hildar, "You're the smart type lad, Renash seem like the type to grab some of this up and toss it on his old man and take over in the line of succession early?"
Aug 26, 2021 7:04 am
Nekurr looks around, under the bed and then turns to Hildar "What do you make of this?". He would ask Tronus, but usually that ends with the dwarf making a hammer of it...
Aug 26, 2021 2:04 pm
Hildar just shrugs at Tronus's question "It wouldn't surprise me if that was the play but it could just be an ego thing, the son trying to prove himself to the old man maybe?". As Nekurr joins them he still looks deep in thought before sighing "Why are they taking any guidance from the Dribbages? After everything we dealt with you'd have thought the rest of the family would be persona-non-gratis as it were...."
Aug 26, 2021 4:06 pm
"We're just going to ignore he just crawled under a grown dwarf's bed." Tronus states looking between the two possibly focusing on the wrong issue.
Aug 26, 2021 10:56 pm
Hildar blinks and seems to only just realise that Nekurr has crawled under the bed. He crouches down to get closer to him "Make of what? Have you found something down here?"
Aug 27, 2021 12:43 am
Nekurr finds the underside of the bed quite tight—with such a small cottage, the family no doubt has to make use of every last inch of space they have. Nevertheless, cats have a way of fitting into tight, compact spaces.

As you discuss the politics of the tunnel project, the younger Barnpuddle speaks. "Uh... You said you could help my Pa? Please, he's suffering."

OOC:
ahah, just looking for day-dreamed dragons. Nothing strange here :D

Did I use the triumphs? Can they help me heal the dwarf? Maybe not heal-heal, but stabilize him or remove the pain?

Hildar looks up at Onin and tries to smile reassuringly "Ah yes, of course, Nekurr here is....erm....it's part of their process....". Seeing nothing under the bed he straightens with a sigh.
OOC:
Could Hildar make up something akin to 'ye olde paracetomol' quickly here, or some sort of concoction that would give the father some relief? Figure he'd have to use their kitchen to do it and maybe a Story Point to have the materials to hand for it...
Aug 27, 2021 1:42 pm
"That why I brought them but well... as you can see, he's definitely not a dwarf." Tronus states point with a very judgy look on his face.
Aug 27, 2021 2:14 pm
OOC:
Yeah, Nekurr's Triumphs were for the vision—they didn't reveal the source of the affliction but some crucial context around what that source is and how it got there. (Remember that Hildar and Tronus don't really know what you saw, as it was in a private note.)

I think a Divine Heal would be welcomed; call it Heal + Restoration for an Average check (PP). (Boost for Component Casting). That might stabilize him for a day (so that his illness doesn't progress); extend that by 1 day for every 2 advantage, extend by a week for each Triumph? No pain relief though; if you want to stabilize + relieve pain, change the check to Hard (PPP), which will also reduce the chances you can extend the effects beyond a day.

If you choose not to do the pain relief, Hildar can always whip up some painkillers in the kitchen. Yes, a SP for the supplies sounds reasonable. Rules say four hours per dose (unless you get some advantages to spend), but why don't we hand-wave that and fold the alchemy concocting into the conversation with this man and his wife? Average check (PP), two setbacks for no alchemy kit.

OOC:
So why's Nekurr noodling around under his bed and wiggling his butt? Is this the threats? Or is this just Nekurr? XD, oh I can assist Hidlar from a RP standpoint with Apothecary but mechanically I don't know...
Aug 29, 2021 12:36 pm
OOC:
I guess Hildar doing the pain relief sounds good :D
Nekurr spends some time in pray after making sure there is nothing weird in the room. He lays his hands on the Norc's injuries body. "These would will take time to heal. May Fortuna give you more time to heal. " It is probably not the prayer they were looking for, but everyone knows Fortuna is a bit ... tricky...

At first, Nekurr's prayer doesn't seem to have any effect. The Dwarf just looks at the priest of Fortuna with dull eyes. But then he seems to notice the playing card lying on his chest, which the Catfolk cast there. He picks it up and laughs. "Ha! The Queen's Lover! I once won the pot of a lifetime in a guild game with the Queen's Lover. What a bluff! Everyone thought I had a Sweeping Creeper..." He seems to be in better spirits now at the memory—something that pure luck would seem to have sparked in him. He looks back to Nekurr, now with light in his eyes. "Anything else you want to know about?"
OOC:
Trying to explain the healing through Nekurr's luck-based influence!

Whilst the others are attending to the elder Barnpuddle Hildar slips out of the room into the main living area. He pauses for a moment to gather his thoughts whilst waiting for an opportune moment to interrupt the woman. When it looks like she is at a point where she won’t be at risk of chopping her fingers off he coughs politely "Excuse me, I would like to try to mix up something that may be able to help ease Mr Barnpuddle's condition for at least a while. Could I use the room for a few minutes?"
OOC:
well, if he was offering unskilled assistance Remnant could just help stir stuff I suppose lol

"Sounds like it was a good game. Baron's son seems a bit brattish, even has a set of goons mucking about and trying to sound civil but threatening and failing. If your a rough tuff that's good a breaking things you usually shouldn't speak a lot since it shows how much brains you have. That's said has he been to the site, some thuggish looking loafs come sniffing around the work site? Anything suspicious happen besides the normal human level of greed and such. Actually how'd he take to the whole incident that happened? If you know and don't mind talking about it." Tronus asks.
OOC:
Tronus is thinking this would be a lot easier if we just visit the Baron's Son and punch him in the face till he passed out and continue every time he wakes up till his dad is back... probably won't solve most of the problems but it's not like he doesn't need it.
