From an early age Gurag had heard tales of the Republic, before the dark days of the Empire. Whilst a lot of his kin got swept up into piracy and banditry he tried to lead a better life, espousing these ideals that he had been brought up on. When he heard tales of an insurgency against the Empire he had to join, and after a while he did just that. His new 'job' kept dragging him away from home but one day he came back and found everyone gone. The Empire had swept through under the guise of cracking down on piracy. Whilst Gurag knew some of those from his home city were involved in piracy most were just regular people. His new contacts managed to get word that his home, amongst other planets, had been targeted in similar actions. The people being dragged off under the basis of being arrested for various crimes but were actually being used as slave labour on some construction project....a very large project. For now he is working his best to aid the Rebellion figuring the more he moves up in the ranks the more access he will get to information that might uncover where his people are....
His cover on Falu is working as a contractor on various construction projects. He uses his cover to scout out potential targets for Resource raids (Resource Acquisition Duty). Anytime he comes across any equipment that is more advanced than he normally keeps an eye out for he makes sure to pass on the details to Kip. His main role in the squad is when things turn violent to bring on the firepower but he much prefers to get stuck in with his rather impressive fists but on the flip side he also has some small amount of medical training and is pretty handy at patching the squad up if needed.
