Some People Call Yall Space Cowboys

Jul 16, 2021 12:19 pm
Space is a big place and there's usually a lot of decent work for various people with specific skillsets but when you finished a job close to the center of the galaxy between a federation and an alliance of some sort your boss opted to get you, the crew, and his ship someplace less likely to loss him money during the military naval battles that would sweep the area possibly. That's why you find yourselves in the outer rim of known space where things seem a little more relaxed, less organized and always in need of something to be done. The ship has docked at Space Station New Wyoming it seems for the foreseeable future as the next venue is planned out.

As the rest of the crew and pilot go over maintenance routines and upgrades since there's a bit of downtime ahead you find yourselves free for a few cycles it seems to take a job or just relax, not the type to just burn through all the credits in your pockets you find yourselves in a bar eating a meal together trying to figure out a possible side job.

The three of you wonder how to breach the subject of looking for a job for some side credits when Jelar looks and picks up his plate and drink as a man flies slamming down into the table back first and flails disoriented your meals sans Jelar's flying all over the place. Another man dives on top of him a dagger in his hand trying to stab him in the face, chest, or arm it seems.

Card draw on site changes so I'm going old school

King of Spades Ol' Slim
Queen of Diamonds Stabber on Table
Three of Diamonds Rovann
Three of Clubs Jelar
[ +- ] Iniative in Savage Worlds
You watch the man on top either because of rage, disorientation of the target or the mashed potatoes on his victims face stab down repeated with little successful defense as blood splatters ruining the dining experience. Others seem to be fighting as well some just trading bunches others smashing bottles or chairs while others also go for lethal methods of violence.

So what are we gonna do? are we gonna roleplay now or roll for something? and will you be the one to draw cards? also I have no idea of the characters I'm partying with since there's no character intro anywhere...are we gonna write our intros here? and it would really help if We can all see each other's character sheets
Jul 19, 2021 2:01 pm
OOC:
Update: didn't notice part of the post was in notes. You can roleplay as much or as little as you're comfortable with, if you're doing specific things there might be a roll possibly depending and I'll let you know. Cards are just for initiative rounds or a chase for a Sci Fi stock game so yes I'll be drawing them for the rounds as needed. You can talk it out OoC or through an intro but sharing Character sheets is something players have to opt to do. You three know each other but not well I figure, close enough to work together but not close enough to tell each other your life story possibly. Meta freebie would be you (Rov) can tell the other two are quite smart and Ol' Slim is older than the both of you. We're currently at the three of you at a table eating, fight broke out, a man died, and your meal except Jelar is ruined. In the moment you just have to figure out what you're doing once Ol' Slim goes.
Jul 19, 2021 4:07 pm
In his younger days, if a bar fight broke out, Ol' Slim would have probably gone all in. But, he most certainly wasn't young anymore. For now, he slides his chair away from the table, and tries to figure out who the 'good guy' in this fight is, if there even is one.
OOC:
I can't think of anything else I want to do besides survive. Maybe see if the murderer guy has a weakness?

Rolls

Notice (Smarts) - (1d8, RA)

(5) = 5

Wild Die - (1d6, RA)

(64) = 10

Jul 19, 2021 7:33 pm
Slim moving back and out of the way gets a broader and bigger picture and notices amidst the bar brawl some things. He doesn't know who the good guy is from the closest fight. One guy is dead and the guy on the table with his knife is looking around at the others a bit wild shaking his head, the way his breath is ragged might be from the murdering but the fact his eyes seem to unfocus and refocusing of his eyes and shaking his head makes you wonder if he's been poisoned. In addition you get the gist of what's going on due to that and the people fighting around two people fighting over a briefcase violently swing at each other while tugging on the case for possession. While it's unclear who's in the right or wrong people getting in the way of getting that briefcase might make an enemy or two out of few patrons of the establishment.

The man looks form those closest two him his eyes wild one seems to be holding his meal the other seems to be surprised by the situation in front of him.

"What? You think yur better then me!" he jeers out swing at Rovann wildly. From his vantage he gets slash off on Rovann but either due to slipping on gravy, the body, or possibly being on something he doesn't do any damage besides a scratch on Rovann's body armor.
OOC:
I think you're parry is actually at 5 if your fighting is a d6. Also Rovann's turn is now.

Rolls

Tabletop slashing attack - (1d6, RA)

(63) = 9

Dagger Damage - (1d6, 1d4, RA)

1d6 : (4) = 4

1d4 : (2) = 2

Jul 19, 2021 9:50 pm
OOC:
Wait what? we're already in combat? How am I to calculate damage here? and what attack will I use?
Jul 20, 2021 12:03 am
OOC:
@mormegil, reading the rules it explains;
To make a skill check, roll the skill die plus a wild die (usually d6) and keep the highest result. Make sure you check the RA box to automatically reroll aces.
If you do not have a skill, you roll a d4 plus the wild die and subtract 2 from the highest result.
The difficulty is 4 unless noted otherwise.
Every +4 on the margin of success is a Raise and has a special effect (e.g., rolling an 8 against the standard difficulty is one Raise and rolling a 12 is two).

The skill check you need to make here is Fighting. See if you took that skill.
Jul 20, 2021 1:13 am
OOC:
Well before you calculate damage you need to figure out what you want to do, do you want to try and punch him, grab an improved weapon (dinnerware or chair) and hit him, or try and kill him by pulling your gun and shoot at a penalty, move away, try a smarts or agility trick, taunt, intimidate or persuade them? So since you made Rovann you'd know more than me what he would do in this situation. Figure that out maybe write something up like crazybirdman did and then we'll figure out if a roll is needed.
Jul 20, 2021 3:30 pm
OOC:
Okay...I'll try something...pulling out a weapon is a Free action right? so gonna do that and shoot that guy
Rovann was silently contemplating on how to get enough credits to pay his debt to a Federation-backed lending company. His musings and his plate full of food were shattered when a body came flying around to hit the wall next to them. Another guy was quickly on top of the flying man and begun to stab the hapless person. After the bloody work was done, that same wild-eyed man brandishing a knife (seriously?) spouted something incoherent at Rovann but he didn't get what he was saying focused instead on the ruined remains of his lunch on the floor. Granted it was just dehydrated mashed potatoes and some kind of meat that looks like it could still walk away, but it's still the next best thing he will eat for a long time here in the outer rims...

He was jolted out of his reverie when he felt a push on his right shoulder. he looked and a nick appeared on his combat armor. The crazy idiot actually tried to stab him. Many things rushed on Rovann's mind all at the same time: first he was getting slow and distracted to not see the attack at him. second that someone had the temerity to try and kill him when he was just minding is business. And last, he was still hungry. Pissed off and hungry isn't a nice combination for any person. But for a young mercenary who's pissed off, hungry AND broke, that was just the last straw. ''I need to blow off some steam anyway...thankfully a suicidal idiot like you came up! thx berk!'' at that with a motion tempered with years of training and practice Rovann swept his SLR-15 rifle from the maglock built into the back of his armor and pointed the barrel at the offending knife wielder's head, ''Pop! goes the weasel!'' He said before pulling the trigger...

Rolls

Shooting weapon (Shooting skill 1d8) - (1d8, 1d6, RA)

1d8 : (3) = 3

1d6 : (1) = 1

Jul 20, 2021 4:10 pm
OOC:
Drawing would be an action for you and then shooting so Multi action Penalty would be -2. I forget if there's an equipment route to do it in Savage Worlds but I know there's a quickdraw edge. Going to GM hand wave you move away a bit before shooting, shooting in melee range would need to pass his parry and a longarm would have a penalty (which is why hand waving you move away first since it's easier to swing around your rifle). So total you got a 1 (3-2 from multi action penalty).
Rovann moves away from the slippery slasher and starts blasting the food around him, the flails a bit disoriented by the sudden use of not a fist or knife as food and shattered dinnerware assault him.
OOC:
So you didn't hit but probably scared him awesome action response though, Jelar's up and we'll draw cards again. Everyone's a bit away from table slasher besides Jelar and a bit aways from the group the brawl continues not overlapping with any of you yet.
Jul 20, 2021 4:55 pm

I knew I read somewhere that drawing a weapon was a free action? I might be wrong though but yeah nvm
Jul 20, 2021 6:03 pm

I checked it out on p.92 for free actions since things might have changed for SWADE but dropping a weapon is a free action. Quick Draw is not an edge also in SWADE I've found out.

You still readied a weapon since you had to pull out your rifle to shot, it just wasn't free since you're pulling something from off your back from a sitting position versus an easy to reach location. That said a 3 still isn't enough to hit either once moving back a bit.
No natural one either so no gun issues.

No worries it a learning game, also in normal cases shooting target number (TN) is 4 versus if you shot him with a pistol (I know you have a rifle but pistol is easier to use in melee for sake of arguement) while in melee would have a TN equal to his parry.
Jul 20, 2021 8:57 pm

5 of Hearts
Ace of Clubs
5 of Diamonds
8 of Spades

Laser pistol, so energy burst right?

Rolls

Laser Pistol Damage - (2d6)

(32) = 5

Jul 21, 2021 4:32 pm
The crisp sound of blaster fire rings out again but this time the target stops moving via the hole in his chest. Ol' Slim ends up adding a dead body to the table stack. Several notice the laser fire now and edge away from the direction of the trio of former eating a meal and not bothering anybody people as the brawl continues on the other side of the bar.
OOC:
Jelar's up and no one else is coming your way cus reasons.
Jul 22, 2021 12:32 am
OOC:
@Remnant: In a previous post you mentioned that the, now dead, murderer was acting like something was wrong. Was it just Ol Slim who noticed that or has Jelar seen it as well?

Also, can he see the two people fighting over that briefcase, and what is the range to them? I am thinking of stunning one of them.
Jul 22, 2021 1:04 am
OOC:
Slim noticed due to spending his first action watching him. Other side of the bar room for the briefcase, oh, other side of the room and definitely out of long stun gun range.
Jul 22, 2021 3:01 am
With the immediate threat out of the way, Slim says; 'Seems to be quite the tussle going on over that briefcase.' as he points, directing thier attention 'Not sure if it's worth us getting involved.'
OOC:
I can talk out of turn right?
Jul 22, 2021 3:05 pm
OOC:
We need the work, so maybe this is a chance to pick up a job doing guard duty on the briefcase?
"Well Slim, maybe whoever owns it would hire us to guard it, huh?" Jelar replies. "C'mon why don't we watch and see if we can get some work."

Jelar will move closer to that fight, but not close enough become involved in it.
Jul 22, 2021 3:20 pm
Jelar moves towards the breifcase bout avoiding the chaos, flying furniture, and food.

Remnant sent a note to Drakis2
Everyone hears a shrill whistle loudly emitted from the back as someone emerged from the kitchen. A tall well built woman with a freckled ruddy face scans the area seeing people easting and not making eye contact, to people in the middle of destroying her resturant and bar, beating each other to a pulp, and a pile of bodies on one table. With meat clever in hand she looks around and nonchalantly pulls a long shotgun cannon looking device from the kitchen wall behind her and points it from her hip into the customers.

"Seems like I got some critter vittles. Pay your tabs and leave now... unless you paying for damages or volunteering to be food fer some critters Yall." she states with a slight twang and a smile. Her eyes seem serious and oddly enough her clever not looks very much like it can go through bone if needed.

Hush mutters of fear and desperation along with 'Big Bertha' can be heard as everyone scrambles to bail least be stuck with paying for damages or worse. One guy with the breifcase seizes the opportunity and kicks his clingy combatant friend away with a cackle and takes off running gleeful. "Thanks Ms. Bertha! I'll be sure to tip gud after this job's done!"
OOC:
Up to the PCs if they want to chase down whoever or just pay for their meal (zero cost from your money) and bail. We're out of combat now.
Jul 22, 2021 4:33 pm
OOC:
I suggest we try the guy who lost the briefcase fight, to see if he’ll hire us. Or, we could just follow the guy who took the briefcase?

Also, might be worth searching the two dead guys to find out why they ended up at our table. Maybe it was not related to the the briefcase fight?

What do you both think?
Jul 22, 2021 6:06 pm
OOC:
I would track down the briefcase guy, but I guess my character would stay here, stay safe, settle up with Bertha and find out what's up with the two dead guys (if anything).
Jul 22, 2021 6:49 pm
As the death rattle of the random knife man subsided, Rovann returned ''Beth'' back to its place behind his armor. The laser rifle made an audible click as it settled on the mag-lock mechanism. Then he moved to the next table now devoid of its occupants who left in a hurry after the recent fracas. The young mercenary looked to be searching for something and after a second found what he was looking for: a relatively unspoiled and uneaten tray of food. he took it, took a seat, raised his feet and plonked it down on the table, and began eating the food. ''I'll pay you after I have eaten, woman and not before...in regards to the damages made by that scumbag,'' He pointed to the dead man with a smoking hole on his chest with his fork ''I guess you'll gonna have to ask him for payment...although I think he's pretty much indisposed at the moment...''

Penalties just apply to the total result of the die roll so if you ace one and get a two on the second roll 1d4-2 could be a 4 (6-2). Think of it as the minus flat penalties are applied to the check versus the die rolled.

Big Bertha looks from one to other before putting down her gun tossing the clever into the table and goes to picking up Rovann by the breeches and jamming a hand into his clothes fishing out credits. Ol Slim find himself picked up by the pants also before being walked to the toes tangling above the floor. Tossed out not to gently from behind you two you can hear Berta before she slams the doors, "Na Geet!" she orders to shoo you away. Meanwhile Jelar looks around picking up on things and has a destination plus additional gossip info.

Jul 27, 2021 12:43 pm
Jelar and Slim pull along their other crewmate to the possible promise of money and meet up with the briefcase carrier without his briefcase. He's all smiles with a few other guys as he looks at the trio.

Dang shame what happened to Spitter, yall the fellers who kill the guy who stabbed him? Helped us out a bit when their boss died.
Surprised none of em came looking for yall to settle up.
he admits with a smirk, "Now that's out of the way yall didn't come to see if I was okay most likely. What can I doya fer?" he adds cocking his head eyeing the three of you.
Jul 27, 2021 2:45 pm
"Well you see that's the problem," Jelar replies. "Your trouble ended up at our table, and now we are involved. We'd like to know what this is about, and to see how we might be of help to you. Help make sure whatever is in that case stays with you. So what is going on and how can we help you?"
Jul 27, 2021 3:40 pm
Rovann leaned on a wall of a building just adjacent to the canteen they came out of. The mercenary was still bruised but not in any physical way. getting stabbed and missing the stabber up close was one. getting manhandled by a woman (more like an augmented grunt) and losing what few creds he had was another. He decided to remain silent and let the old folks do the talking. Besides, I'm more inclined to shoot the bastards and take that suitcase to see what the fuss is all about, he mused to himself

I would have liked to make the roll myself...but anyway I think I took too long to post so apologies for that ^^
Mr. Cuddles? You mean Loki the Great Deciever? Rovann said aloud at the mention of the client's name. He smiled at the silly moniker that the business mogul has adopted. But if all those rumours about him were true, there was nothing endearing or friendly about that guy. It's better to be in good graces to someone like that than piss them off. Rovann had tried hungry and broke. He doesn't want to be broke and dead.

''So where do you reckon where we can find this Mr. Cuddles?''
Jul 29, 2021 3:36 pm
"Well I can show yall over to his place and let him know yall want to get some work for pay. I'll head back to Ms. B's play. Never does take kindly to piss off the local sheriff round this way." he states but you think honestly he's just trying to get to spending his pay possibly by the way he's rubbing his hands together.

Your brought into a cleaner area that your guide seems out of place in. The guards wear a uniform and after some moving through the complex you eventually get escorted through a scanner and your weapons are sequestered into a locker outside the room and you're each given the key. The office seemed functional with little in the way of decoration. The guards that escort you in stay by the door while four more stand on each side of a desk. The chair is facing away from you and slowly turns with an electric hum.

Seeing this Great Deceiver up close takes a second to process and the moniker sticks as you see in the chair a cat on a cushion moving the chair around by way of a small joystick. It licks it's paw and cleans it's face regarding the three of you before a voice emits from the black box on the collar on it's neck. Not really sure what a cat should sound like the deep and older voice of a man comes out making this surreal experience a little older than you'd expect.

"My hired help let me know you are looking for work it seems. As you can tell I'm in what you'd call an extenuating circumstance but there's nothing about using a loophole by way of controlling a cat to do my bidding in this sector remotely if I've been banned physically from the area." he explains looking at you all with piercing eyes... you're unsure if this is a cat thing of Loki doing something to the cat's body.

"What's your skillset and what do you offer for employment?" he states sitting up looking at the trio.
OOC:
It's definitely weird but at least you know he pays good.
Jul 30, 2021 12:56 am
"I'm a Pilot, with some skills in hacking," Jelar replies, a bit unnerved by having to speak with a cat. "We're all law abiding citizens, but understand that sometimes the law gets in the way of business and needs to be politely circumvented."
Jul 31, 2021 1:12 pm
Rovann couldn't hide his surprise and amusement at seeing The Great Deceiver finally up close: A cat. or at least it looks like it. with the advances to genetics and synth-tech it could be an artificial facsimile of that rare old Earth creature. Well, people have done stranger things to maintain their anonymity. ''I know how to shoot. And--is that really a cat? and can I pet it?''
Jul 31, 2021 4:54 pm
Slim had to resist the urge to say he was good at scratching behind the ears; 'Uh, explosive expert by trade, uhm sir. A little slower with my sidearm than used to be, that' true for a lot of things at my age, but I manage.'
Aug 1, 2021 12:27 am
The bald cat listens to each of you focusing on what you say staring intently, "It's a bit of a process to explain on how I've set up my proxy but yes it's a living breathing, shitting cat... And no I'd prefer not to have random people grope my proxy. But from what you've told me and what I've heard you aren't the squeamish type. I've received word I had a man die on my asteroid processing farm... figure out what happened I'll provide a shuttle for you to get out to the belt where things happened. I'm assuming by your non uniformic team standard going rate will suffice?"
OOC:
I figure this is a good time to open up a Social Conflict. It's three rounds, list your intent, on his side he's hiring someone off the street his employee vouched for and he's providing transportation out to the site so he's going with the standard rate (yes that does sound vague) and we'll figure out some rolls. Oh since there's three of you each of you get one round. Or you can give your round to someone else if you don't want to partake.

"Not that suspicious if they opted to pick a fight and get tossed out of Ms. B's Cantina..." the cat replies back with a yawn before he walks out on it's front legs form a sitting position and stretches his back while dragging his back legs before he stares at Rovann.
Aug 4, 2021 2:26 pm
Rovann stares at the cat below him. If not for the mysterious voice coming out of the animal's collar, he would find it comical that a cat is staring at him with unconcealed scrutiny. ''Hey, I did not start a fight! I was happily minding my own business eating whatever slop was in that cantina and some guy came flying around knocking my food from me. Next thing I know there's this crazy a-hole who tried to stick me with a butter knife! I just defended myself that's all!''

As he said that, he looks closely at the collar on the cat's neck. An idea was forming on his mind, as the bounty hunter mused on whether to do it or not.

Well my Persuasion is low anyway so let's try something else and use something to blackmail that guy to pay us more money ^^
Rovann noticed the make of the collar that was also used as a communicator by ''Mr. Cuddles.'' Having spent many years alone on his farm, he had tinkered with many types of electronics from watering mechanisms for his and his neighbor's farms, fixing broken holo sets and communicators. this one looks like a model he has encountered before. if he is lucky and with just a little tinkering he could bypass a switch located somewhere inside the collar not only revealing the communications signal but tracking down where it is emanating from. '' Well, let's see if we can convince you otherwise...'' he said with omnitool in one hand while the other is scratching the underside of the cat's neck.

Loki raises an eyebrow as he watches Rovann pull his multitool and get closer only to have his eyes glaze over. "Well I don't need my claws clipped right now, do you have a thing for cats?" Slim and Jelar notice all the guards already have out guns pointed at Rovann who seems to be having a moment.

Remnant sent a note to mormegil
The cat winks at Rovann and licks his face with a paw lazily.

"Well I have a dead man who was found hanging on the razor wire of the perimeter fence. I didn't have a lot of info on the situation that's why I need an investigation while others keep working on site. Was it just an accident? Is it a murder? If so I want to know why. Ultimately is someone trying to mess with my business. That's the job to figure it out." states finally to the others leaving Rovann to ponder.

Rovann had a look on his face that is a mix of emotions: part surprise, part awe with a little dash of fear. Whatever he found while tinkering on that cat's collar, cemented the belief that this Loki is not to be trifled with. And if he promises for payment then he is good for it. Jelar and Slim gave Rovann an incredulous and questioning look. He replied with his own that says ''I'll tell you about it later''.

Okay so how much are we getting paid for this thing? He asked the cat grooming itself at his feet.

The trio get a transmission with the agreed upon job and the location of the shuttle on the station to take out to the asteroid processing farm which has the destination preloaded thinking about the phrase Asteroid processing farm seems like a string of words that need explanation outside the scope of the job though. The manifest and fuel levels seem okay and you soon depart with your gear for this 'farm' off of the space station aboard a shuttle. What the hell is all that ruckus?! Rovann bellowed out. he was contemplating on drinking the bottle of synth wine he swiped from the canteen while he was being manhandled by the proprietress when the whole ship lurched forward then turned sharply in a zig-zagging motion. He might not be a pilot, but he has ridden on space ships like this to know if it was doing evasive maneuvers. That Jelar didn't even have the grace to warn him over the communicators miffed him a little bit. getting his bearings, he sprinted upwards to the cockpit section and was about to shout at Jelar when he saw why they were flying erratically: they were in an asteroid field. glancing on the navigation map at the front he noticed they were being chased by unknown ships.

I'll be damned if I get shot down here in space or get smashed on a space rock, he thought grimly. Rovann immediately went into action registering the danger they are in. he took a seat in front of the ship's electronics console and tried to do something to mess up with the Bushwacker's targeting systems. While the crew opts to beg, promise, or even threaten Jelar he suddenly sends the ship drifting sideways before moving through an odd enough not orthodox route through leaving your stomachs a little bit where they should be instead of in your throats. As you get your breath you see he's piloting you either through serendipity or madness the edge of a gravity well anomaly ahead, although it looks weak it'll definitely slingshot you in another direction so if he pulls it off you'll definitely be feeling the fruits of his success albeit not for the faint of heart piloting skills.

As your pursuers puddle skip along you notice them on scanners but they don't seem to have such intuitive piloting skills to thread through asteroids.

That's success with two raises.
[ +- ] Round 6 Chase
With the assistance, a little of madman pilot skills, and luck you all are about to to wonder if you make the best of decisions has you feel a lurch in your stomachs from the force of the sudden and rapidly growing thrust behind you. You find yourself in open space quite some distance away from the debris. The Bushwhackers are no where to be seen either due to driving or courage to use a gravity well anomaly as a slingshot. Rovann sighs and mutters about getting the med kit, you see an electrical filigree burn up his arm and the makeshift jury rigging wiring he's worked over the system in the chaos of the chase. He patches himself up and then reconnects failsafe systems he'd take offline to increase performance. By the way he's flexing his hand and frowning you can tell he's probably not going to be going in at full speed.

You eventually land on a large asteroid after what seemed like a month in space traveling here. Explaining who you are they ask about how was the trip around the debris since you got here a lot earlier then they expected. Someone finds out you're here for a job for Loki and someone leads you to where they found the body. Rovann hasn't really said much since you've gotten off the ship and he's been looking around still flexing his hand and twisting his bandaged arm.
OOC:
Just the two older gentleman for the time being in the front.

"You need anything or should I let you get to it?" they ask wondering if they can go. Everyone notices there'd no body.
Sep 14, 2021 12:04 am
"The body. Where is the body?" Jelar asks the person who led them to the spot. "Also, we will need to speak to any witnesses."
Sep 14, 2021 12:51 am
Slim adds 'The sooner we can get this done, the sooner we'll be outta your hair'
Sep 14, 2021 11:36 am
"Been a while since he died, body is in storage. Yall didn't expect us to just leave his body hanging on the perimeter wire for a few weeks till someone come out, did ya? they ask scratching thier head.
Sep 15, 2021 4:20 am
Rovann was still visibly shaken from the space rollercoaster they had to go through to escape the bushwhackers. Now on solid ground (asteroid), he was busy contemplating the vagaries of life. Someone's question shook him out of the reverie however and he was forced to reply, I didn't do it chief...I just got here...

Although it's been a while Jelar and Slim piece together the man was injured and stumbled into the razor wire sensor wire and flopped onto it. The wire is still stained with dried blood so you figure he bleed out also from the other side of the fence you two notice tracks on the outside of the perimeter.
OOC:
response was before Rovann's post: Been a while since he died, body is in storage.
Sep 18, 2021 1:30 am
Jelar asks the guide if it is possible to get onto the otherside of the fence, so they can examine the tracks or has someone already looked at them?
Sep 20, 2021 12:19 pm
They seem confused about the tracks they hadn't noticed and they explain the route to get to the gate entrance to walk around.
Sep 20, 2021 1:33 pm
"Slim. Rovann. Whadya say we go around and check out these tracks?"
Sep 20, 2021 1:48 pm
The trio opts to get a ride by dune buggy considering the distance around and possibly a ride to storage to look at the body. The driver mutters wondering if it may have been those weird hippie spirit people that 'commune with the great space beyond' which he thinks is a bunch of hooey and they just smoke a lot of stuff that makes them a little crazy. The employee stops a short distance from the fence and you see a familiar scene from the other side as you walk closer to the fence. He stays in the vehicle looking around just incase into the flats around the area eyeing the distant hills.
Sep 20, 2021 2:08 pm
Slim follows up with the driver a bit 'Do you mean lay around and look at the stars crazy, or get violent crazy?'
Sep 20, 2021 2:12 pm
"We stay on the compound for the most part... They live on the outer rim roaming over the berm and see the 'Great Space Spirit' through their trails, tribulations, and smoking stuff... wouldn't put it past 'em to get violent. I had a buddy who heard from a friend one of them fellers got in an argument with someone and killed 'em, then ate 'em. So both?" the man gossips.

Jelar isn't sure what made the tracks but he's got a path moving away from the fence line into the foothills he can track. The employee nervously asks if you're gonna walk out there by yourself adjusting his collar.

OOC:
What skill do you need to use to follow those tracks?
Sep 22, 2021 12:47 pm
OOC:
Jelar's found the tracks with notice and the rest of the crew probably saw him do it so it's more a decision check out the tracks offsite then go back and look at the body or vice versa.
Sep 22, 2021 2:35 pm
OOC:
is the dune buggy drive unwilling to take us? are we walking?
Sep 22, 2021 2:47 pm
As Slim starts looking in the direction Jelar is and the driver and back the driver opts to say he can drive yall to the front gate and he'll get out if you want to borrow the buggy. He stops abruptly and walks hastily back on site waving back not looking wishing you to come back in one piece without bite marks.
OOC:
He has no interest in being the driver for a fact finding becoming a meal possibly mission when he can be doing his job in a nice safe closed in area.
Sep 23, 2021 2:08 am
OOC:
Jelar has no skill for driving. I do not expect it will be needed unless we get into another chase or end up in rough terrain. So I am happy for him to drive if no one else wants too?
Sep 23, 2021 2:58 am
Slim says goodbye and thanks to the driver 'We'll bring ya back one of them funne cigarettes' he jokes, before hopping in back of the buggy
Sep 23, 2021 6:02 am
Rovann checks and double-checks the equipment on his body: a plethora of bombs, knives, extra energy packs for Bess (his laser rifle), and a portable repair kit. Once he's satisfied that all of them are in place, he nodded to himself and strode toward the waiting buggy.

I'll ride shotgun!
Sep 26, 2021 5:04 pm
OOC:
Junk post didn't update.
The trio drive out following tracks and trying to figure out where they're origin is. Eventually they drive over a berm and see several people on odd vehicles at a distance. You and the group drive a distance apart from each other and they hail you in a peaceful way.

"Hail travelers, have you come, to understand the Great Spirit Beyond, and seek their enlightenment?" one of them booms out, his stanza of talking making you shake your head.
Sep 27, 2021 2:52 pm
OOC:
Uh oh!
"Greetings fellow travelers," Jelar shouts from the back of the buggy. "We are tracking a, eh, fellow spirit."

He points to the tracks on the ground.
Sep 27, 2021 3:00 pm
'I'm afraid we don't have time for enlightenment today, just information' Slim answers
Sep 27, 2021 3:14 pm
"We all chase, what we do not know of fully. To find the answers, we need but may not know. Information is enlightenment, if we are able we give it freely, to others across these parts."
Sep 28, 2021 12:22 am
"So tell us, what made these tracks?" again Jelar points at the tracks.
Sep 28, 2021 1:17 pm
The one talking looks at the three of you and to one of the members with him, he motions with his arm and the individual canters off on his odd riding device that seems to make soft air popping sounds giving you all a wide berth. The angle at which they lean over while they drive make you wonder if his legs work or if you'll see him amazing flip off his ride. He yokes back from behind you a bit and them gets off cocking his head one way looking at the tracks then out in various directions. They hope back on and whizz past again meeting with the rest making some hand gestures. You're not really sure about the second hand opinion since they're covered in a body suit with a face shield besides their mishappen braids wildly coming out they top and back of their head behind a mask you're not really even sure if they're male or female. The odd beads and skulls some of which you're not sure what they're from adorn their hair braids.

The one who was talking finally speaks up, "To explain I need to tell you, I can't explain, some think the Outer Rim, it is the end of existence in space, it is the border, between what lies Beyond and what most know, that what is beyond is much unknown. What you see if from the Beyond. I have not see such things before, we know not of what it is, we can tell you be be on guard because whatever it is from the Beyond, we know, it is always to be considered... Dangerous."
Sep 29, 2021 6:34 am
Rovann nodded around agreeably to the conversation going on around him. The older folks are better off in the talking department. Unbeknownst to them, he had his finger on the trigger of his rifle ever since the other people showed up ready to put new holes on anyone taking any ''disagreeable'' action toward them. After the barfight and the bushwhackers in space, he had been wise to be ready for any action that may occur...and it seems in this job they are currently in, there's no short amount of it...
Sep 29, 2021 1:34 pm
OOC:
Shall we carry on following the trail, or go back to base to investigate there. Maybe find others who saw a predator outside the fence, or marks on the body?
Sep 29, 2021 3:35 pm
OOC:
Might have been lost but you've kind of lost the trail now and happened upon the locals that eat people via the workers on the asteroid stripping farm. For the most part workers found a work dead and flopped on the fence. The body is in storage back on the property if you want to check it out. Also you may have picked up the they savages that eat people was an opinion since they're reserved but civil considered outcasts of society that don't follow the norms.
Sep 29, 2021 6:23 pm
OOC:
can I try and translate his gibberish into something useful? or glean it's meaning? lol, do i speak hippie? Otherwise, I'd say let's head back and find the track or check out the body.
Sep 29, 2021 6:33 pm
OOC:
He doesn't know the exact thing you're looking for from the tracks or where it exactly came from or was going or why, via the guy or girl who looked. You're on the outer rim of space which is really just the border to what's out there beyond known space, what you're looking for is likely from Beyond known space so it's probably unknown and dangerous.
Getting back onsite takes less time since you know where you're going to the surprise and respect of the workers you all seem fine with no teeth marks. Asking to see the body has you looking at the body of the former worker in a tube that's vacuumed and floating in zero gravity. There's an obvious cause of death being the large 3 to 5 centimeter holes on one side of his chest, arm and face that seem pretty deep.
Oct 4, 2021 4:59 pm
OOC:
Can I roll to investigate the corpse or is that the info we would get?

Rovann had seen a lot of dead bodies in his life. Most of them his own doing. Parks/evils of mercenary life. He took up a position to the side to see the whole area while he lets the old folks investigate the stiff.

I'll just siddle down this corner and make sure no one sneaks up on us...those weird technopeople just gives me the creeps...

OOC:
I'm going with a handwaved plus 2 from the assist from Jelar to speed it along.
Slim's seen people dead upclose, he's even the reason some of them died. Inspecting the body he figures a few things out. While he and most people would think the holes were the cause of death via these bullet holes, the angle is was too low to the ground to be someone shooting up at him unless they were partially buried and you all didn't see signs of that at the place the body was found. With no defensive wounds you figure he was caught off guard and by surprise possibly curious about something lead to a sudden and abrupt end. The thing that makes Slim frown the most is the wounds don't have and exit and he can't find any material left in them, they're not straight either. Whatever made the wounds it wasn't a normal physical ammunition or even something energy based since the wounds inside the body curved almost like something burrowed into him... since the holes could be seen it that meant whatever did it burrowed back out with over 15% of his mass taken or possibly eaten.
OOC:
Let me know if there's anything unclear.
Oct 5, 2021 5:41 pm
crazybirdman says:
OOC:
eww, lol

OOC:
Is there any equipment that we could use to scan the body? See what, if anything, is left inside the corpse?
Oct 6, 2021 2:33 pm
OOC:
He's in a vaccuum sealed stasis pod of sorts so you can tap away at the controls if you want. I figure yall were doing this handsfree and just rotating him around in the pod and using the interface. What were you trying to figure out specifically like how much is left of the body? Or what exactly is the missing percentage from the body?

Oct 7, 2021 1:49 pm
OOC:
So it appears that something latched on to him and sucked out his inards. Would that be correct?

Not sure we can find much else from the body, so maybe questioning the supervisor of the facility might get us some information. Rumours about creatures that attack the workers, etc.
Oct 7, 2021 2:34 pm
OOC:
From the PCs that actually looked at the body and did some thinking after looking versus just dumping it in a vac stasis pod and going back to work yes. I should point out you've not seen at least in your travels around this asteroid, there's no critters or wildlife or plants really.
As the three of you go out looking for the site supervisor you notice a lot more people than you'd expect running or riding on the side of a few small land vehicles away from the processing areas. All the workers seem to be looking opposite the direction they're running. You see someone in the lead swerve in front of you a dune buggy coming to an abrupt stop kicking up dirt and sand before someone jumps out trying to run inside, the person in the passenger seat holding their head as blood gushes from a wound there, their other arm with lacerations all over it hanging limp at his side as he grimaces in pain.

"Move! Move! Move! I need to get the med kit!" the driver yammers trying to run past you all.
Oct 7, 2021 4:04 pm
'Curious' is all slim says, as he tries to get a better look at the damage to the passenger.
Oct 7, 2021 4:50 pm
OOC:
He's still conscious btw...
Slim checks out the injured man, his injured arm seems to be cuts from something not too sharp he figures from the size and shake not looking like a clean even cut.

Several more men are running towards the facility on weighed down buggies, any that fall off get up as they come out of their tumble and run towards the building as well.
Oct 7, 2021 5:28 pm
Slim takes the mans hand to offer a bit of comfort 'Med kit is one the way son. What happened? What's all the fuss about?'
Oct 7, 2021 6:47 pm
OOC:
Probably wasn't clear on the arm looking slack or limp so might have not been your aim... XD
The man's eyes flash open and he gringes in pain at the arm being moved, "Gaaa!" he yelps his eyes wild before focusing and looking around wildly, "We was just slicing asteroid chunks like usual for mineral deposit processing... nngh." he exhales, "Then Percy was like 'What the hell is that?!?' and I turned to look. Damned thing." he recalls his eyes getting a bit cloudy as he licks his lips clutching his head.

"Rocks started moving, not from an antigrav malfunction, jumped on top each other started wiggling making a squishing sound.
Someone said it looked like a big dog, we ain't seen none of those since we took the job... Thing jumped on Percy swatted at me as I moved away, I got dizzy. All woozy."
he states slowly getting quieter to a mutter. Slim sees a syringe stab into the man's arm from his side vision and his eyes flick back open with signs of awareness. The driver looks at you all as he tries to drag him inside.

"I don't know what that... thing is but we're going inside and calling for help... job's the job but I ain't gonna die while doing it." he explains half dragging the man. More people rush past opting to get inside the facility.
OOC:
Since no one's mentioned getting armed or going back out you're assuming they're going to barricade until this is over. I guess I'll give everyone some time to response since things escalated quickly.
Oct 8, 2021 2:43 pm
'So we have a squishy sounded rock dog? That doesn't sound like what killed our guy. Does seem to be something we have to deal with nonetheless' Slim says to his team

"Well, I guess we can take a look and decide if it is something we can handle," Jelar offers. "Not sure I want to get involved in any kind of fight though."
Oct 8, 2021 11:55 pm
The trio move opposite those fleeing to and into the facility. Eventually the last person running gives a warning over their shoulder not looking back as they run away. You can tell now why it was an odd description several slabs and chucks of rocks bound towards you three the closest people to it. The alien shaped head sports no eyelike or warlike feature but the jagged mouth like apature and crown of horns in the front on what you would figure is a head comes into better view a splatter of blood on these feature. Blood and reddish dirt caked claw like rock scratch the ground as a gurgling screech warms you of it getting ready for it to shamble closer towards you all.

Thanks, I'll throw it then. Assuming medium range here, please correct me if I did anything wrong.
Slim, bolstered by Jelar's successful hit, decides to try throwing one of his explosives at the beast. 'Fire in the hole' he yells, more out of instinct then wanting to warn the thing.

Rolls

Athletics - throwing grenade - (1d6-2, 1d6-2, RA)

1d6-2 : (1) - 2 = -1

1d6-2 : (3) - 2 = 1

grenade damage - (3d6)

(424) = 10

Oct 19, 2021 5:32 pm
OOC:
It did just attack you so short range. Jelar goes before you, I'll look to see what happens when you bobble a grenade I guess.
XD
Oct 20, 2021 1:44 pm
Jelar fires again
OOC:
Not sure if the +2 still applies

Rolls

Shooting, Wild Dice - (1d6, 1d6, RA)

1d6 : (5) = 5

1d6 : (3) = 3

Oct 20, 2021 1:59 pm
Jelar shots the beast again to try and distract it. It bucks oddly this time making you think it was more effective. You manage to catch a glimpse of Slim getting ready to toss a grenade which he attempts to throw but bobbles to the ground.
OOC:
@Slim Did you want to roll damage or have me do it?
@Everyone
Evasion to take no damage from the grenade since the blast area is three times normal pace, this requires Agility at -2 for Jelar, Agility at -3 for Slim since he's elderly.

Rolls

Stun check - (1d10-2, RA)

(5) - 2 = 3

Oct 20, 2021 3:00 pm
OOC:
I rolled the damage when I rolled the attack. Of course I assumed I'd be able to hit, lol. You can reroll it if needed
Slim tries to get out of the way, hoping he doesn't get damaged by his own blasted blast.

Rolls

Agility - (1d6-3, RA)

(1) - 3 = -2

Oct 20, 2021 3:09 pm
OOC:
Just realized I'm good let's see if you shell shock Jelar as well.

Rolls

evasion check - (1d6-2, RA)

(2) - 2 = 0

Oct 20, 2021 11:52 pm
Jelar curses as he tries to dodge the blast.
OOC:
Nope. Jelar is blown up. I think his Toughness was 5 (Vigor D6/2 +2) plus whatever he gets for a Kevlar vest, was that a +2?

The two of you move away as best you can as the grenade cooks off. The sudden flash, sound, and heat have you both reeling.
OOC:
that's enough to shake you both.
The creature shakes off the blast and screeches opting to swat at Jelar. The ground turns to powder under the beasts legs from the blast.
OOC:
r3 Dog, Jelar Slim
It screeches and swats at him again. With Jelar shell shocked he gets hit. You feel it this time as you lose the sense of the ground under you feet for a second.
OOC:
Jelar if he has bennies can use one for a vigor check to soak his wound tn is 4, otherwise all rolls at -1. Spirit check to unshake at the beginning of your turn... shaken means you can only move so spending a bennie let's you act if you fail the check.

Rolls

Vigor check - (1d10, RA)

(8) = 8

Spirit check - (1d4, RA)

(3) = 3

New target - (1d2)

(2) = 2

Rolls

Vigor, Wild Dice - (1d6, 1d6, RA)

1d6 : (64) = 10

1d6 : (2) = 2

Oct 21, 2021 4:09 pm
OOC:
You pass and you're not shaken. Your turn then Slim.
Jelar moves out of the way of most of the blow as it makes contact.
Oct 21, 2021 4:15 pm
OOC:
sorry, a couple of questions, how do we know how many Bennies we have, in general, and is there a way to keep track in PbP/Gamers plane? Also I'm shaken from the grenade blast, but did I take any damage/wounds?
Oct 21, 2021 5:26 pm
OOC:
So bennies stock default is 3, you'd have less if you rerolled anything or extra if one was awarded.

For bookkeeping in the Notes just having Bennies: # should be good enough just annotate if you get an extra or use one. In face to face I use poker chips.

So far this combat you got hit but not enough damage to shake you or cause a wound (first swat from the Rock Dog), the blast was over your toughness so you were shaken but not enough to wound you. Raises on damage would be the amount of wounds to PCs
Oct 21, 2021 8:33 pm
OOC:
okay, so spirit to try and unshake right?
Slim curses at himself for trying so desperate a move. He should have known better. 'I am, getting old' he things to himself. He yells an apology to Jelar as he draws his pistol, still a little to stunned by the blast to risk firing.

Rolls

Spirit - (1d6, 1d6)

1d6 : (1) = 1

1d6 : (3) = 3

Oct 24, 2021 6:17 pm
OOC:
Just waiting on Jelar's action first to adjudicate.
Oct 25, 2021 1:50 pm
Jelar moves to help Slim, seeing him struggle after the blast. He moves them away from the creature's path.

"C'mon Slim, let's move. We cannot face that thing with our puny weapons," he explains to Slim.
Oct 25, 2021 1:59 pm
OOC:
So Jelar goes then Slim, fyi one of you can also run this turn the other can't so you will be chased.
Jelar shakes out of the shell shocked situation and grabs Slim dragging him along who follows trying to get his gun out.
OOC:
Round 4 order: Dog, Jelar, Slim
The rock dog screechs chasing after the two of you and snaps out Jelar tumbling in the process.
OOC:
Jelar is up then Slim. Slim will need another Spirit check to unshake or spend a bennie, Also Calculating comes into play now though since he got a low enough card if he wants to do more than one thing.

1d6 : (5) = 5

OOC:
You're out in the open, vehicles were used when everyone was bailing on work and not wanting to possibly die. Is this with the stun gun?
Oct 28, 2021 1:50 pm
OOC:
Yes, he is using his stun gun. He leads the way towards one of the vehicles, with the hope of driving it.
Oct 28, 2021 1:58 pm
OOC:
If it wasn't clear there's no vehicles close by, people took them and drove away when they saw the rock beast so they could get away quickly.
Distracted the creature takes the electrical charge and a sizzling could be heard. Jelar notices bits of what looks like flesh between the slabs of rock connecting them. Jelar and Slim opt to move farther away from the shaking beast.
OOC:
Jelar's up again, then Slim can try to unshake to act (or spend a bennie) then move, then the Dog I beleive.

Rolls

stun check - (1d10, RA)

(1) = 1

I'll use a Bennie, taking me down to 2. Sorry, are we in a building or like a cave or mine?
Oct 28, 2021 3:47 pm
OOC:
You're on a large asteroid with a terraformed bubble that has air several square kilometers wide. The current scene is open air pretty much between processing areas. Everyone else has opted to beat feet or drive to the main compound building. This is, if it wasn't realized, not normal and can be considered first alien contact in a world of no aliens having been seen yet or heard of.

You can roll for free on your turn and if you don't make it spend it then.
Oct 28, 2021 6:27 pm
OOC:
Gotcha, was hoping there was something I could blow up to drop on top of it.

I might jump the gun and say if this is going to devolve into an attempt to ride the dog beast Imma get a chair and a drink.
I can hold your beer if you like.
Oct 28, 2021 7:13 pm
OOC:
I posted Jelar shooting his stun gun again, and then realised it is out of charge as it only has 3 shots. So instead he will draw his knife and continue helping Slim get away.
Oct 28, 2021 7:26 pm
Jelar pulls his combat knife dragging Slim who moves with him muttering about what to do.
OOC:
Slims up then Rock Doggo after he unshakes.
Oct 28, 2021 7:52 pm
OOC:
Sorry, I'm away from the book, how can I aim for the fleshy bits?
Oct 28, 2021 8:01 pm
OOC:
Called shot penalty will depend on target so easiest would probably be a leg at -2, paw would be -4, fleshy joint bits between slabs of rock probably -5
Oct 28, 2021 9:03 pm
[ooc]ok! easy it is them. Let me know if I don't have the calculating bonus anymore. /ooc]

Slim doesn't see an escape, so takes a shot to try and hobble the monster. 'Alright there doggy, why don't you stay?!'

Spends a Bennie
The creature snorts and shakes it's head getting it's footing under it. The squelch is slightly ear splitting before it slashes wildly at Slim who's still close by. The blow is enough to have Slim see stars.
OOC:
Slim is up but shaken, spirit check to unshake. Bennie if roll fails or just move away with no action.

Rolls

1d6 : (3) = 3

1d6 : (1) = 1

Nov 9, 2021 1:13 pm
OOC:
Got it, you'd be at -1 for the spirit check if you opt to not soak so spending a bennie to unshake works. You can act but it's at -1
Nov 10, 2021 7:25 pm
OOC:
I don't know, should we keep shooting it, or try to outrun it?
Nov 11, 2021 1:44 am
OOC:
We cannot kill it, and are unlikely to cause it much harm unless we try more explosives. I am for running away as we are of no help to the workers. It all depends on how badly it wants to kill us, as that will determine how closely it follows us when we run. But maybe we can set up the explosives and lure it into a trap?
Nov 11, 2021 1:59 am
Slim finally realizes the futility of his actions. He gives up on hurting the creature, an focuses on distancing themselves from it. 'This pistol aint doing much, and the explosives didn't fare much better. he says, panting as he tries to keep pace.
OOC:
Ok, just gonna get as far from this thing as e can. but do we want to head back to the base?
Nov 12, 2021 8:19 pm
OOC:
@Remnant: Where are we in relation to the base and the rock creature? Is there somewhere Jelar and Slim can setup a trap and then attract the alien?
Nov 15, 2021 7:26 pm
OOC:
Considering proximity to the beast that would be difficult. It's a way to the facilities which you're not really close to.
Nov 18, 2021 12:40 am
OOC:
I suppose I could do something dramatic, light try to shove the grenade in one of it's crevices. or try talking to it?
Is there A way to try an discern what it wants? or is it just bashing things?
Nov 18, 2021 2:33 am
OOC:
I am out of ideas, so I am happy for you to try that @crazybirdman.
Nov 18, 2021 6:20 pm
Not sure if he can outrun this thing at his age, Slim decides to take one more chance at stopping the creature from following them. 'Go on, don't wait for me!' he yell, as he starts to heads toward moving stones.
OOC:
What would the check bo to get close enough, then shove a grenade in one of that things joints?

Hmm I guess it'd be a repair roll to rig explosives, are you going to let it cook off to run or just let it go off immediately.
Nov 18, 2021 9:17 pm
OOC:
definitely gonna want a delay so I can try to get out of the blast radius
Nov 20, 2021 6:01 pm
OOC:
So to cook off free action smarts check with bonuses and penalties in place. Then repair roll and move away.
Nov 23, 2021 6:19 pm
OOC:
ugh, sorry for the delay, busy weekend
Slim preps an explosive, hoping this one will hit the spot.

Rolls

Smarts - cook off - (1d8-1, 1d6-1, RA)

1d8-1 : (6) - 1 = 5

1d6-1 : (1) - 1 = 0

Repair - (1d4, 1d6, RA)

1d4 : (3) = 3

1d6 : (3) = 3

Nov 23, 2021 7:17 pm
OOC:
You good with those rolls?
Nov 23, 2021 7:54 pm
OOC:
4 is success correct? Can I use my last Bennie to rerill the repair?
Nov 24, 2021 4:39 am
OOC:
Oh boy. This is not going the way I had hoped! :-)
Nov 24, 2021 3:40 pm
OOC:
If you want you definitely have time to get away but trying to get it someplace is going to have it stick and you hear it pop out and hit the ground as you attempt to run away. This went sideways probably with the shuttle trip in truth.
Nov 25, 2021 8:29 pm
I'll reroll the repair roll if that's cool

Rolls

Repair reroll (using Bennie) - (1d4, 1d6, RA)

You can roll damage. What's your pace? I'm guess you want to be outside the blast radius yeah?
Nov 27, 2021 1:24 am
OOC:
pace is 5, plus I have the elderly hindrance

Rolls

Grenade damage - (3d6)

(465) = 15

Nov 27, 2021 5:54 pm
OOC:
If you used a standard grenade I think it's just MBT so 4 pace out from the center but you marked it as mining explosives also, unsure if that has more range. If you're in the range still you can always try and evade using an Agility Check at -2 I believe to sidestep damage.
Nov 27, 2021 7:05 pm
OOC:
it's a standard grenade, mining explosives was more just theme
Dec 4, 2021 4:04 pm
OOC:
My apologies I'll update later today, headed out to run errands.
As Slim moves in he wedges the grenade between slabs but it starts to wiggle out, fortunately he's given himself enough time to move at a gentleman's speedy retreat away as he hears something hit the ground behind him his back is peppered with debris. The rock beast does not fair so well as a large chunk lands several meters away from the beast. His screeches like the sounds of metal drilling through rock and it seems to focus on Slim who is closer while moving away and having injured it the current threat to it.

As the two of you move away you see the facility in the distance and see the makeshift barricade of parked vehicles. In another entirely different direction though you catch the glimpse of a heavy machinery vehicle used to breakdown larger slabs of rock for processing farther away than the facility that's been secured by the workers.

Deck Draws

Rock Dog, Jelar, Slim
