Shouldn't more of us carry this torch though? I've been meaning to follow one of bowl's tutorial games (they're public, right?) to maybe copy or adapt the GP-teaching framework but just never got around to it.
Many hands make light work. What if, instead of one amazing GM like bowl, we had many okay GMs like me taking turns running a short game for 1-3 people. We could prepare the resources, both RPG maps, NPC images, stats, etc. as well as templates for safety tools and forums. We make that public to anyone who wants to run it.
I mentioned this framework on the discord, but it could be easily adapted or changed:

If anyone was thinking about doing an introductory game for a d20 fantasy system, this FREE adventure is a really good template!
The Wealthy Merchant

Made for 5e, but the structure could be used as an intro to any D20 fantasy game (Pathfinder, 13th Age, Cypher System, other D&D editions, etc.) and maybe others. It is 1 page long and designed to be used with zero level pregens (but you could adapt the structure to whatever).
Concept: Adventurers transport goods through dangerous wilderness, leading through two open-ended situations and a non-lethal fight.
Scene 1: Fork in the Road. Adventurers choose between two paths - bandits are rumoured to be active on the High Road, but the Low Road may be washed out due to recent rains. The High Road leads to an encounter with a bandit sentry (may or may not be combat depending on how you handle it). The Low Road leads to skill checks to overcome the flooded terrain.
Scene 2: Negotiations. Once you get to the trading post, characters try to get the highest price possible for the goods. Their reward is based on a cut of that profit.
Scene 3: Bar Room Brawl! Roll initiative.
People could run it in various systems, although this particular framework might be best for d20 fantasy systems. We could run two people at a time - might take longer for two new people to arrive but then you have the added benefit of meeting another user in a game.
It might also serve as a good first adventure for new GMs to run. If we had more GMs confident to run games, then we'd have more games!
