"They took everything I offered, and asked for a bit more," the man says. "I expected they'd be out here to patrol the wilderness, you know, keep the wolves, worgs, and whatever else crept out of the hills away from all of us out here on our own. Before the ruling council fell to Emil, troops were out here all the time to keep threats away. Never asked for food or lodging either. Now, I guess Emil's soldiers don't have those same inclinations. They took advantage of our hospitality, and then carried on to who-knows-where. Arnd deflates a bit when no one else takes him up on his offer to help the farmer. Swaneke on the other hand looks a bit incredulous.
"What?" he says sharply. "You mean to tell me that a group of Emil's troops just ate your food and left? I don't believe it, but I think I might like the sound of hunting worgs! That's way more interesting than starving bandits."
