Jessica, Dacey begins to answer you but then dashes outside after Patty. The lodge door swings and bangs in the wind, your only company. You are alone, and those bow-wielding campers are still out there.
Patty, you race towards Snake Hill in the driving rain. Puddles ankle-deep have already formed as well as small rivers down the center of the paths between buildings. Lightning illuminates the sparse grouping of trees on Snake Hill. You begin the climb, your shoes squelching on mud and rainwater running into your shoes. When you crest the hill a grisly sight awaits you. Declan lays sprawled out on the grassy knoll, more than a dozen spiral skewers piercing his body and head. The rain falls into his blank open eyes and runs down his cheeks like tears. A walkie-talkie lies a few feet from him. The slack zipline trails away west like a slim steel snake. As you stop to recover from shock, Dacey catches up to you.
Kristin and Susan, while you cower in grisly-covered horror, you begin to hear giggling on the other side of the barricaded door. You shouldn't be able to hear anything in this weather, but it seems like it's there in your head. A glow begins emanating from Lucas's body. The light rises from his corpse, man-shaped but devoid of any features. Thick tendrils of goopy light stretch between body and soul. You hear/feel/sense some dark presence on the other side of the door. You get an image in your mind of a tunnel like a black hole making a thrumming sound so deep you feel it in your bones. Then suddenly the light-soul is ripped from Lucas's body with a shrieking sound like piano wires being snapped by impossible strength and the light is sucked through the door, out of the gym. Upon the light's severing, you feel the familiar soundless shockwave roll out.
