Soliin draws his other short sword and makes two attacks against the great behemoth.

Rolls

Main Hand Attack - (1d20+8, 1d6+6)

1d20+8 : (20) + 8 = 28

1d6+6 : (2) + 6 = 8

Off Hand Attack - (1d20+7, 1d6)

1d20+7 : (15) + 7 = 22

1d6 : (1) = 1

Sneak Attack - (2d6)

(35) = 8

Crit! - (3d6)

(114) = 6

Aug 14, 2016 9:14 pm
Soliin hits with both attacks, chipping away at the back of its stone legs. The attack with his mundane sword doesn't seem to have a great deal of effect on it.
OOC:
99 damage so far!

His turn!
Aug 14, 2016 9:18 pm
Moaning in a voice that sounds like an avalanche, the elemental lashes out at Mai'ngor and Elfog again.

It almost lands a direct hit on Mai'ngor, but he is able to avoid the brunt of the blow (13 damage).

Elfog is able to deflect part of the blow with his shield, but he is rattled to the bone by the heavy strike (17 damage)
OOC:
Your turn! It looks like it doesn't have much fight left in it
Aug 14, 2016 9:36 pm
Taking a step back after absorbing the punishing blow, Elfog shakes his head, trying to remember where he is. The sight of the elemental standing before him shocks him back into reality and he steps in for another swing of Tolvihar.
OOC:
Reckless attack once again!
EDIT: Balls!

Mai'ngor spins low, swords flashing, and jabs with both blades, aimed for the elemental's groin.

I stay behind the earth elemental, hoping to keep out of sight as I continue attacking its lower legs with my fangs.

Rolls

Attack (w/Advantage) - (1d20+5, 1d20+5, 2d6+3)

Thankfully, the elemental appears to be focused on the warriors. Not sparing any power, Hunter releases another four Magic Missiles at the creature.

Rolls

2nd level Magic Missile - (4d4+4)

(2223) + 4 = 13

Aug 15, 2016 4:52 pm
Xeliss tears at the elemental and manages to find a weak point in its stony exterior, ripping chunks out of the back of its leg. It begins to topple but manages to hold itself up until Hunter's magical bolts slam into its chest, knocking it down.

After the creature falls, another large stone creature emerges from the ground by the menhir, but doesn't attack. It merely faces away from the stone and assumes a guarding pose.

After a few moments of silence, another of the figures in walls emerges and charges at your group.
OOC:
Another earth elemental is attacking! You will have the chance to act first, as it will take a few moments to get to your position.
Aug 15, 2016 5:05 pm
Mai'ngor charges this new threat, but realizes this fighting may be an exercise of futility.

"Are we to fight an endless parade of stone guardians? Let us finish what we came for and begone!"

Rolls

Sinag attack, damage - (1d20+7, 1d8+7)

1d20+7 : (13) + 7 = 20

1d8+7 : (5) + 7 = 12

Drowcraft shortsword attack, damage - (1d20+6, 1d6+6)

1d20+6 : (1) + 6 = 7

1d6+6 : (6) + 6 = 12

Aug 15, 2016 5:25 pm
"Let's back away," suggests Hunter. "It looks like some are guarding the stone; maybe if we put some distance between they'll leave us alone. But I don't want to go without ensuring Ogremoch's Bane doesn't corrupt anything." She retreats as much as she can while keeping the menhir in sight, and lets fly her Magic Missiles as the new elemental commits to the attack.

Rolls

Magic Missile vs Attacking Elemental - (3d4+3)

(134) + 3 = 11

Wild Magic Surge - (1d20)

(20) = 20

Wild Magic Surge from last round (sorry, forgot) - (1d20)

(16) = 16

Aug 15, 2016 8:47 pm
Sinag digs deep into the elemental, taking a chunk out of its torso.

Hunter's magical bolts slam into the monster one after another, spreading small cracks in its form.

Elfog can tell you from his earlier inspection that there were three of the large forms that have become elementals.
OOC:
23 damage so far!
Aug 15, 2016 10:27 pm
Having been knocked around more than his fair share in the battle and not having a decent strike to show for it, Elfog can feel the rage welling up inside him. Seeing Mai'ngor charge in, the barbarian screams out a dwarven curse and joins the Tikbalang in battle. Swinging Tolvihar with all of the fury he can muster he aims for the elemental's legs.
OOC:
Rage? Check!
Frenzy? Check!
Reckless Attack? Check!

Rolls

Tolvihar Attack (w/Advantage) - (1d20+7, 1d20+7, 1d12+7)

1d20+7 : (1) + 7 = 8

1d20+7 : (9) + 7 = 16

1d12+7 : (11) + 7 = 18

Frenzy Attack - (1d20+7, 1d12+5)

1d20+7 : (16) + 7 = 23

1d12+5 : (4) + 5 = 9

Aug 15, 2016 10:31 pm
Elfog's first strike is ineffective, but his second makes a nice cracking sound as it sends a crack running up the elemental's leg.
OOC:
You forgot the +2 damage from rage on your second attack, but I applied it for you

Elemental has taken 34 damage now, Moofs and Soliin still have a turn
Aug 16, 2016 3:43 pm
Not wanting to draw the monster's attention, Soliin moves quietly around it. Once behind it, he steps forward and attacks with both blades.
OOC:
Elemental has taken 53 damage now! Moofs still has to take her turn

Rolls

Main Hand Attack - (1d20+8, 1d6+5)

1d20+8 : (9) + 8 = 17

1d6+5 : (6) + 5 = 11

Off Hand Attack - (1d20+7, 1d6)

1d20+7 : (15) + 7 = 22

1d6 : (3) = 3

Sneak Attack - (2d6)

(61) = 7

I crouch low and wait for an opportune moment to pounce.
OOC:
Holding action 'til it's close enough to charge.

Moofsalot says:
I crouch low and wait for an opportune moment to pounce.
OOC:
Holding action 'til it's close enough to charge.
OOC:
This room isn't super large, so you can just assume that anything you want to attack is going to be in movement range
Aug 16, 2016 4:07 pm
I wait for the elemental to find itself a target other than me before I pounce...
Aug 16, 2016 4:13 pm
The elemental makes a sweeping strike at the opponents in front of it, hoping to hit both Mai'ngor and Elfog.

Mai'ngor ducks the blow, but Elfog is too focused on his attack and takes the full force of the blow (9 damage).
OOC:
Your turn. Xeliss will have the opportunity to use her readied action and then take her regular action as well.
Aug 16, 2016 4:53 pm
I get behind the elemental while it attacks the Elfog and Mai'ngor and try to find the weakest point to gnaw on. It worked out well on the first one so why not?

Rolls

Attack 1 (w/Advantage) - (1d20+5, 1d20+5, 2d6+3)

1d20+5 : (20) + 5 = 25

1d20+5 : (7) + 5 = 12

2d6+3 : (46) + 3 = 13

Attack 2 (w/Advantage) - (1d20+5, 1d20+5, 2d6+3)

1d20+5 : (10) + 5 = 15

1d20+5 : (17) + 5 = 22

2d6+3 : (54) + 3 = 12

Critical Damage - (2d6)

(16) = 7

Aug 16, 2016 5:02 pm
Xeliss does that same thing as last time, finding the weak points in the earth elemental's form and using them to rip chunks out of it.
OOC:
69 damage so far!

Forgot that your attacks don't count as magical (they shouldn't have done so much damage last time. Still a pretty good amount of damage, though!)
