Chapter 4: Adventures in Blingdenstone

Hunter takes out a Potion of Healing and offers it to whomever is in need.

Elfog motions to Mai'ngor to take the potion. "Took a beating from the looks of ya. Glad ye on my side."

It takes Mai'ngor a moment to shake off the battle and sheath his swords. He takes the potion gratefully and quaffs it. "And I am glad you are all on mine." he says in reply to Elfog.

As Mai'ngnor downs the potion, I subtley chant, further increasing the healing. We'll need him in fighting shape if we run into one of those "medusas".

The tikbalang shudders as the healing magic courses through him. He nods his thanks.

"Is it safe to rest here?" Hunter wonders aloud and looks over to the menhir and its stone guardians. "They don't seem to have any interest in us, currently."

"If we're going to rest, maybe we need to keep watch?" Soliin stretches as he looks at his companions. "I could keep my eyes open a bit, and don't worry, if there's trouble, I'll run away only after I shout really loud."

Needing the rest, Elfog doesn't argue with the decision to stay put. He puts his back to a wall and slowly slide down into a sitting position, his short legs straight out in front of him.

Hunter mumbles something under her breath about a wish to have learned fire cantrips from her former teacher. She curls her legs under herself and uses her staff as a prop to rest.

Hunter still appears tired and worn despite the short rest, but she is physically unharmed and seems to have the renewed fire in her eyes that comes from greater understanding.

Elfog spends his time napping and tending to his wounds.

I sit down and lean against the rock wall, closing my eyes and communing with the dirt and rock that are so familiar and yet so far from home.

"Does anyone think the medusa will try and sabotage the menhir?" Hunter asks. "I admit, we've fulfilled our task, but I worry that our battle against the ooze won't go well if something happens here."

"Beats me. You really want to go looking for that thing?"
