Hunter smiles. "Your confidence is appreciated," she says to Soliin. "But, let's not forget that this individual has command of hundreds of oozes and slimes. He must possess power of some mention."

"Yes, I'm sure one of the elementals will bear you," Dorbo assures you, "We will even instruct one to go with you on your quest, to help with exterminating this menace."

The mission quickly is started, with many scores of gnomes preparing for a battle, their elemental companions assisting in last-minute preparation. You follow along with the gnomish battle-group and enter the same chamber you tried to use before.

The gnomes rush forward and attempt to overwhelm the oozes as quickly as they can, and Dorbo motions for you to head through a side passage. The elemental immediately starts that way, smashing oozes as it goes. You enter the side passage, which is a wide and winding area. You turn around a twist in the passage, and see a couple of black oozes, about 20 feet in front of you. Behind you, more oozes approach; you can't see them yet, but you can hear their slimy movement down the tunnel behind you.
OOC:
Your team goes first, then elemental and then oozes
Oct 17, 2016 7:04 pm
Mai'ngor leaps into action, attacking the nearest ooze with his radiant sword.
OOC:
*Bonus action to enter War Dance
*Standard action to attack

Rolls

Sinag attack, two-handed damage - (1d20+9, 1d10+8)

1d20+9 : (18) + 9 = 27

1d10+8 : (7) + 8 = 15

Oct 17, 2016 7:52 pm
Hunter summons a Mage Hand to hold a lit torch in front of her light crossbow, creating an improvised ignition point for her flammable bolts.
OOC:
Is lighting a torch a free action, or an Action? I was working on the assumption that I could have lit it prior to entering the slime chamber, but if it's not then I'll use my Action to summon the Mage Hand first.

OOC:
Being that you're in pitch-dark tunnels, it would make sense to have a torch lit already.

"Wait for me!" Elfog yells out to Mai'ngor following closely behind. Tolvihar in hand he strikes out at the same ooze as his companion, hoping to make short work of it.
OOC:
Rage, Reckless Attack, Extra Attack

Rolls

Tolvihar Attack - (1d20+8, 1d20+8, 1d12+7)

1d20+8 : (1) + 8 = 9

1d20+8 : (16) + 8 = 24

1d12+7 : (9) + 7 = 16

Tolvihar Attack - (1d20+8, 1d20+8, 1d12+7)

1d20+8 : (10) + 8 = 18

1d20+8 : (16) + 8 = 24

1d12+7 : (8) + 7 = 15

Oct 18, 2016 5:51 pm
Elfog and Mai'ngor rush forward, taking large chunks out of the first slime, but it doesn't stop moving.
OOC:
Xeliss and Soliin still have a turn!
Oct 21, 2016 2:05 am
I take the form of a bear and charge forth!

Rolls

Bite Attack! - (1d20+5, 1d8+4)

1d20+5 : (16) + 5 = 21

1d8+4 : (2) + 4 = 6

Claw Attack! - (1d20+5, 2d6+4)

1d20+5 : (2) + 5 = 7

2d6+4 : (63) + 4 = 13

Oct 21, 2016 1:00 pm
Xeliss claws and bites at the ooze, ripping chunks from it, but as the furious melee warriors strike out at their enemy, ooze splashes back on them. (Mai'ngor: 6 damage - Elfog: 11 damage - Xeliss: 13 damage)
OOC:
Soliin can go now!
Oct 21, 2016 5:01 pm
Soliin joins in the teamwork, drawing his magical blade and going for the oozes spleen, trying for a clean slash to avoid any splash back.
OOC:
Given I'm having trouble envisioning positioning, I've included SA in case it applies, as a separate roll.

Rolls

Luck blade - (1d20+8, 1d6+6)

1d20+8 : (16) + 8 = 24

1d6+6 : (4) + 6 = 10

Sneak Attack - (3d6)

(533) = 11

Oct 21, 2016 5:05 pm
Soliin dances forward and slices the ooze that everyone else has teamed up on and it loses it's consistency and stops moving. Soliin is splashed by some of the remaining ooze as he attempts to step out of the way (3 damage).
OOC:
Enemy Turn next!
Oct 21, 2016 5:12 pm
The remaining ooze moves toward the group and a bit of it seems to form into a hard ball and it smashes Soliin in the chest (51 damage...).

OOC:
From Bottom: 1d6 was deciding who to attack (in order of who acted in this round), d20 was the attack roll, the top roll was the damage. Holy shit

OOC:
OMG is he super dead?!

OOC:
Unless I've forgotten to update my HP, that's -15/36 HP. Which is super dead I think.

EDIT: I checked, I'm within averages for HP.
Oct 21, 2016 6:07 pm
OOC:
In 5e, if you take damage that puts you at 0 or negative, you just go to 0 hit points and fall unconscious. The only time there is instant death is if the remaining damage after 0 equals or exceeds your hit point maximum.

So, from 36 you took 51 points, putting you at 0. The remaining 15 is not more than your maximum hit points. You are just unconscious and will need to make Death Saves.

For further clarification, if you had taken 72 points of damage... 36 - 72 = -36, matching HP maximum, means instant death.

OOC:
Ah, thanks. I made the silly assumption they didn't change the death rules. Ok then... kill them for the halfling! I'm just lie here, take a nap. Because I chose to.

Unless I'm misunderstanding it, I make that when I start a turn, right? And I assume luck blade applies; does halfling luck work too, since it is a saving throw?
