Character Creation

IMO a mix would be fun. Sarynn and Twisp could have met in the Feywild and returned to the Prime together, eventually ending up in Silverymoon some time ago on their search for answers or by happenstance, or recently because they somehow learned the Carnival was coming. Either way, met Beven in the library.

Is everyone but Jules feylost?

I chose not to be feylost. My character was one of the Knights in Silver and fought to protect the area from orcs, trolls, and other threats. After his time serving (6 years) he retired and has been practicing law since. At least until he became unable to control himself in social situations. Now he just does and says whatever pops into his head.

Cool! I did feel like this story needed someone "normal." :-)

I did not choose the feylost background either.

I thought so too, although his shadow DOES speak to him, so maybe not so normal 😋

I never responded to this, but just to confirm - you are free to arrange as you see fit. I save "down the line" for the systems where characters that take a few minutes to make and a few more to die :)

A mix is cool. I figure Jules the Witchlight Hand will have a slightly separate intro, other characters or groups of characters could too.

I imagine my character coming above ground just to see the carnival and possibly find a way to cross back over into the Feywild for a time to follow up on the unicorn he encountered years back. Maybe I’d be the odd one out for group introductions?

I just realized I never had Twisp add to his spellbook when he advanced to Level 2. So now I get to add 4 spells! *rubs rabbit paws*

It's SO HARD to choose! This is why I generally don't play spellcasters! XD

I went College of Lore for Beven, dropped Tasha's Laughter, and picked up Lesser Restoration and Shatter.

Took average HP and the Echo Knight archetype. Darius can do stuff now!

I was planning to go a different direction but after my interaction with Zybilna, I have given Beven the Fey Touched Feat and taken Misty Step and Hideous Laughter as the spells I get with it. I have also taken Healing Word as my new spell as I prepare for my role as party healer. Took avg HP.

I'm always super tempted to take feats even with PCs with weak stats! Feats are just so much more fun! But this time I've gone and raised Twisp's INT to 20. I still need to pick new spells though.
