OOC:
@ Kaos: please find me the rule in question to see if the zombie catches on fire or not.
Roland shoots at the zombie and... Somehow manages to avoid part of the deflagration despite its slow and jerky motions...

Kuroi will also advance so as to not be penalized by the mist and and to take advantage of his Point Blank Shot feat, then shoot one of the maggots (the one with the brown border). "I'll make quick work of those overgrown maggots!"

After a solid hit, the maggot is still standing. "Oh, those things might be hardier than I gave them credit for..."

Ujjaya is next!

OOC:
It shoots a non instantaneous fire cone out, with lots of hot sparks. Rules for catching things on fire
description of dragons breath cartridge
Heres what there is. the rules for the alchemical cartridges is fairly short as written, so i leave it up to your judgment.

OOC:
Yeah, usually when something can have its target(s) catch on fire, it is included in the description, like the alchemist's fire for example. There are no such specification in the description of the dragon breath cartridge, so it does not make its target(s) catch on fire. I'd also add that this sort of ammunition is most likely a source of instantaneous magical fire damage (kind of like a fireball spell) with does not seems to be covered in the rule for catching on fire.

Following Kuroi's lead, Ujjaya fires a volley of arrows at the same worm. He becomes vaguely aware, judgging by Roland's reaction, that there are other threats close by. But Ujjaya concentrates on one target at a time.
OOC:
• Same target as Kuroi (worm at G15 on the grid).
• Flurry: +12/+12/+11.
• Deadly Aim: -2 attack, +4 damage.
• Precise Shot: shoot into melee w/o penalty.
• Improved Precise Shot: Ignore anything less than total cover or concealment.

EDIT: mistyped the attack bonus on the last arrow - should be 1d20+9 only!

OOC:
I was about to ask you to roll your miss chances but then realized Improved Precise Shot ignores anything less than total concealment... which means I shouldn't have rolled concealment for Kuroi last fight... Oh well, live and learn.

I was wondering why your damage was +9 as it felt a bit high, but it's all correct, I've noticed however you've only listed your bow damage as "1d8", might want to add that "+5" to avoid making mistakes in the future when calculation your damage. ;)
Ujjaya shoots a volley of arrows at the large maggot but only one finds its mark. Despite another solid blow, the maggot is still standing up...

Weiryn is up next.
Jun 21, 2016 2:55 pm
Knowing that Kayleigh is not at her best right now, Weiryn reaches out to lay one hand on her shoulder while he chants over his holy symbol, a piece of parchment with holy text glowing brightly in his other hand for a moment before the words vanish and appear on her armor in a faintly glowing script. He then squeezes his horse between Kayleigh and Roland's cart, moving in closer should Darren need his assistance.
OOC:
Casting Shield of Faith on the sickened Kayleigh, giving her a +2 Deflection bonus to AC for 3 minutes.

Also, if this note with my available spells and such bothers you, kalajel, lemme know and I'll knock it off. It's there mainly to help me keep track of what I have left. :)
irvanovich sent a note to kalajel

OOC:
Nah, the note is alright, in fact I appreciated it.
The zombies you see approaches and will attack some of you. Some doors open and a few more zombies come shambling out to join their friends (though those ones will not attack this round).

Both Roland and Darren will be hit once, Roland for 6 points of damage, and Darren for 5. You will both need to make a Fortitude save.

Next, some flying creatures which looks like hideous, distorted human heads suspended from leathery wings, come flying out from the roof of the building next to Weiryn (the one with the zombie still inside). In place of hair, they are crowned with writhing tendrils, and their eyes burn with a menacing green flame. They then start shrieking. Everyone (including your mounts) must now make a Fortitude save.

"Begone, foul creatures, in the name of Pharasma!"
OOC:
EDIT: Well, on the bright side, if this character falls, I have a backup from a previous game that never got off the ground. I just have to re-roll the stats and get it approved, but he should be a fun addition to the game XD

OOC:
@ Darren & Roland: You both succeed your saves against the zombies.
Finally, the large maggots appear. 4-foot long, bone-white, and segmented. Their eyeless heads rear up as they approach, drooling vile, stinking ichor from their clacking mandibles, those monstrosities are regular maggots grown orders of magnitude too large. Luckily, no one has yet encountered the vermin capable of leaving behind such awful larvae.

One of them attacks Roland while the other one will have to choose between Darren's horse, or Roland.
OOC:
So far, only Weiryn's horse has failed its save for the flying creature's screeches...
both maggots end up attacking Roland, with only one hitting for 4 points of damage and yet another Fortitude save.

this reminds me, I need to roll Kuroi's and Nevermore's saves...

Weiryn's horse will be paralyzed for 7 rounds.

OUCH! Both Kuroi and Nevermore fail their saves! Both will be paralyzed for 4 rounds.

Roland saves against the Maggot.

Kayleigh is next (if she does not ending up being paralyzed... :P )

Oh, my mistake, I completely forgot that the zombie which only opened a door can still attack Weiryn or his horse since he hasn't moved this round... AC 14 on Weiryn's horse for 4 damage?
