OOC:
Sorry, I missed the call for the Insight roll the first time through.

Vivv picks up what Pike did as well, and Pike's subtle sign to the others to watch this guy
Nov 14, 2021 10:00 pm
Ash can only shake his head, as he watches Pike shove dirt into his own face. He moves over and claps the madman on the shoulder. "Aahhh, Can you feel it, man?!" The lanky cultist shrieks and the bloodied maniac feels a warm tingling sensation, as his ripped open flesh knits itself back together.
OOC:
Spiritual Healing on Pike (6 pts). Ash is now almost out of Power Points.

Cinder seems pleased that you're all going to accompany him.
"Good, good. This will be a lucrative affair, my new friends. One you will remember for the rest of your lives!" He laughs darkly, rubbing his hands together.

"This way!"
Nov 16, 2021 12:49 am
Pike follows, his bloody trail seemingly staunched by the dirty dirt "poultices". He keeps a close eye on Cinder and looks behind them and all around, constantly scanning for trouble. This was too damn easy.
Nov 17, 2021 10:34 pm
Having not really picked up on anything suspicious about Cinder nor gotten Pike's subtle hints, Hermod says "Sounds good" and follows Cinder.
Nov 18, 2021 2:18 am
You travel for a half hour or so, and then Cinder stops. "Hey, I've got to take a shit. Just hang out here a second, but not down wind, right?" He laughs, sticks the torch against a tombstone, pulls a dagger to dig a small hole, then heads into the dark.
Nov 18, 2021 8:44 am
Having bided her time waiting for the right moment, Viv stealthily creeps up on the foul wizard, Cinder, and gores him with her poleaxe; unleashing the fires of hell at the point of impact. "There's your fire, asshole." She growls
OOC:
Metal don't take no shit!

Using 5 power points in add All Hell Let Loose to the damage done.

"Gimme shinnies!"
Strux sneaks up from behind him, trying to run him through with his rapier.

"Oh that's just a low blow, Strux. A very low blow, hitting a man when he's doing his shitty business. Hardly seems fair. Haha but I'm glad you did it." Then Pike proceeds to attack the bare assed guy anyway. He's had plenty of time to wind up and the axe tries to meet bare flesh.

Rolls

Axe Attack - (1d20+3)

(3) + 3 = 6

Damage - (d6)

(5) = 5

In a shocking and unprecedented turn of events, you collectively gank the not-so-secretly evil and ill-scheming Cinder before he can turn on you and sacrifice you to the gods of countrified folk music.

"Curse you!" he cries as poleaxe, crossbow bolt, and rapier plunge into his unsuspecting but deserving flesh.

His blood runs into the darkness, with his life.

The only thing remains is what he was scheming.
Nov 19, 2021 9:29 am
"No. Curse you!" Ash retorts to the evil wizard's dying last. "Audition is over. We weren't looking for a new member in the band anyway."
Nov 20, 2021 3:16 pm
"Whaddya think his game was? He was definitely up to something," Pike asks as he sinks down onto the ground, rivulets of blood slowly dripping down his chest. Resting his arms on his knees, his trusty axe, filthy with gore lays beside him. "What do we do next, huh?"
Nov 20, 2021 6:07 pm
"Seven hells if I know..." said Strux, his manners and composure now quite different than before;
"I don't know about you chum, but I'm going to desecrate our buddy here; he seems quite eager to gift us his possessions, he he."
He snickers and proceeds to check the mages' body thoroughly for any useful stuff he could loot.
Nov 20, 2021 6:49 pm
A utility dagger (crap), a ceremonial dagger (nice), a few jewels and a coin purse (yoink).

The treasure is a notebook, which would be easy to read if you spoke crazyese in the dark.
Nov 20, 2021 8:19 pm
Strux looks at the utility dagger; he picks it up and throws it in a swift, fluid motion. With a low thud, the dagger is now embedded in the mage's head.
"Peh! Junk! But what do we have here eh? Shiny dagger! Dibs! I call dibs!"
He then finds the jewels and coin purse, before discovering the notebook;
"Not bad for a side job, right? Hey! Anyone speaking crazy mambo jambo? This brings me headache to read."
He says as he half-throws the notebook to Ash.
Nov 20, 2021 9:07 pm
OOC:
Wasn't there also a sword that Strux tried to talk Cinder out of earlier?
Nov 20, 2021 10:00 pm
"We'll never know what he was up to anymore" Hermod says with a shrug.
"Now at least we are sure he will not stand between us and our goal. Speaking of which, should we proceed to the tomb?"
