If you guys have any OOC chatter you want to keep outside of the actual gaming channel(s), let's post it here!

So I'm first: are any of you going to play No Man's Sky when it (hopefully) drops on August 9th?
If so, we should definitely trade info so we can meet up in game sometime.

Please someone talk about this game with him. He won't shut up about it. :p

Sadly I'm one of the few, the ashamed, the Xbox One owner

It's also coming out for PC, though. Do you think you could run it on yours?
May 31, 2016 7:05 pm
Probably not, only rocking a laptop right now. I am keeping an eye on PS4 VR though

I'll be streaming at least some of my gameplay, so I'll drop my twitch link here when the time comes. Anyone is welcome to join me in my discovery of the universe!

I'll probably play it. I'll be on PC but I won't be playing it on release (damnit thesis) and I live in Aus so we won't likely be playing at the same time...

It's all good, Genisisect. We should add each other (however that will work) and play together if we can! I will likely be playing very late my time on weekends, anyway.
What are you studying?

I'm an honours student in physics. My particular field of research is Quantum Information Theory, my topic is investigating how non-Markovianity creates causal disorder. If you understand any of that that's super cool!

*crickets*
Nope. Sounds cool though! I only ever took basic physics.

Ok the long weekend gave me absolutely no time to write despite my best intentions. I hope to be able to start the solo threads today after work.
Sorry for the delay.

You're getting a bit deep on the physics there, but I have a chemistry degree, so I can follow it roughly. At first, I thought you typed "Markovnikov", in relation to anti-Markovnikov addition chemical reaction mechanisms.... but alas, you're referencing someone completely different. Damn, I thought we were going to have a moment. Lol
Good luck with all that! Feel free to post about it, or maybe post a link or two for us to do our research on it. I'm sure some of us would like to read about it.

Does anyone listen to the podcast, Godsfall? I'm doing a second listen through, and I think it's just amazing.
Jun 3, 2016 8:36 pm
That was my second AP podcast, the first being Critical Hit. Now I listen to a dozen-ish or so
Jun 3, 2016 10:04 pm
I can't remember which podcast it was, but there was a lot of drinking. I didn't like it. I don't listen to many APs, but I love what Godsfall does. Oh, and One Shot had done fun episodes. I love Gamerstable discussions, and their APs are like top notch radio dramas.

my podcast list is Cthulhu and Friends, Godsfall, Critical Hit, Glass Cannon Podcast, Sneak Attack, Misadventures of Max's Minions, The Indoorsmen, Campaign Pod, Never Tell Me the Odds Podcast, RPG Academy Sword Nut Radio and Grim Dark Podcast. Score one for having an office job

Nice. Mine:
Godsfall, Gamerstable, Dungeon Master's Block, One Shot, RPG Academy, Game Masters Journey, NPC Cast, Welcome to Night Vale, Alice Isn't Dead, Dear Hank & John.
I have a good half hour commute to and from work.

That's a lot of podcasts. When I'm listening, I listen to Gamerstable, too, and Robin And Ken Talk About Stuff
Jun 3, 2016 11:28 pm
I've heard Robin and Ken are big name guys. I listen to what I do from stumbling upon them, starting with Gamerstable a few years ago.
Jun 3, 2016 11:58 pm
Yeah, Robin Laws is a game designed. He wrote the Feng Shui RPG, Hillfolk, and a bunch of others. I'm a big fan of his. Kenneth Hite is also a game designer and historian, and their conversations are way more cerebral than you'd expect from the format.
