The partially restored Silvermoon welcomed the mage to her home. As the dragonhawk comes in to land, Meridia mulled over what the guard told her: "You're not welcome." Dalaran was off limits to her now. All because she was a Blood Elf now. The news had been so startling to her, that she caught her robe on a branch, cutting into her arm. It still throbbed in pain. Handing the reigns off to the stable master, Meridia glimpsed beneath her sleeve as she walked away.
Grey! Her flesh was greying around the wound! It was too soon, but it was clearly beyond infected. With stilted steps, she considered what to do next.

Almost with a death like grip, Meridia stormed back to her residence on the Walk of Elders. Storming into her residence she startled the young apprentice she left in charge of her home. "M-m-m-m-mistress Meridia I w-w-wasn't expecting you back so s-soon..." the apprentice went to continue bumbling before being cut of by his impatient teacher. " Quiet Aeris. You have been training with Camberon for your electives right? Bring me some healing." The apprentice scattered leaving Meridia some time to think.

Touching her fingers to her temple, the mage attempted to cast out the headache she could feel coming on. That failing she poured a half tumbler of suntouched special, and spiked it with a hint of mana. How could these fools let petty ideological disagreements get in the way of good research contempt filling her mind I will write there college immediately to complain. Sipping at her drink Meridia set about the task of writing a scalding letter to the academy in Dalaran.

After a few minutes Aeris returned clutching a small red vial. "Here you are Mistress, is this the reason you returned so early were you attacked along the way" the apprentice was timid, but clearly regaining some composure. "No, those ... fools in Dalaran refused to give me access to the city. Apparently politics is interfering." She sculled the potion, it tasted too strongly of silver leaf but the gentle warmth of healing magic still filled her form. She examined the wound, though the cut had completely healed the graying still remained. "Clearly you need further practice in the alchemical arts, your potion was defective." The apprentice squeaked in shock "S-s-s-s-sorry M-m-mistress..." his babbling fell on deaf ears as the Mage was already halfway to the door. "I will need to see Camberon personally then, I will let him know of your incompetence."

With much intent and some measure of anger, Meridia stormed towards the Sunfurry Spire.

As you march to Sunfury Spire, your palpable anger parts the occasional crowd in the Royal Exchange. Walking with purpose through Farstrider Square, you notice a bit of commotion, but in this part of the city it's probably beneath you. Taking in the sight of the city as you go, you notice how walls are solid and clean once more, the streets are being cleaned by magically animated tools, and a small measure of happiness fills you with the satisfaction of knowing your people are rebuilding. Upon entering the Court of the Sun, you're welcomed by the glorious sight of the Sunfury Spire; however, it is beside the spire that you are traveling to today.
Spotting his establishment, you spy the spiky haired Camberon busy with herbs and vials in his fashionable violet pants, knee-high boots, and sheer shirt a tad heavy on the embroidery along the seams.

Allowing the anger to melt from her face, Meridia jovially greeted her long term colleague. "Camberon, how are the applied arts treating you. I hope you aren't finding the current cohort too inept." The alchemist acknowledged his guest with similar sarcasm, "No more inept then you were at alchemy. I seem to recall on several occasions you having to steal me concoctions to get through that class." The alchemist clearly enjoying the smirk that summoned from his old friend, before conceding "Atleast I got my returns from you in enchantments. What can I do for you friend, aren't you supposed to be in Dalaran?"

Irritation returned to the mages face, the alchemist taking the hint directed her into his quarters and started preparing some tea. Meridia allowed the veil to fall, and spoke with a measure of raw emotion rarely seen from the Mage. She recounted the tale of her recent predicament "... even after taking a healing potion the discolouring remains. See how grey the flesh is! Had I been cut with some necrotic weapon it would make sense, but I was cut by a mere twig!"

The alchemist showing clear concern for his friend forsook his tea to move in and examine the wound.

Camberon kneeled in front of you. His long, graceful fingers gently took Meridia's arm, inspecting the grey flesh. "Hmmm. There is no wound. Your flesh is perfectly mended." Concern crossed his face as he thought. "Wait here a moment." Camberon stood and went to his supplies nearby. You see him pick up what appears to be a sac or small organ and Bruiseweed before coming back with a greenish-yellow potion. "Try this." Upon taking the surprisingly tangy concoction, you both stare at your arm - willing the grey to subside. A sparkle of hope fades from his eyes after long moments pass with no results.
Deflated, Camberon takes a chair and sits close to you, taking your hand comforting in his. "Meridia, I don't know what this is. I think it's beyond alchemy - certainly my own. I have an old friend, Thalnazz Whitesong, a priest of the Light. Now, don't scoff! Just because the Light abandoned us here in Silvermoon doesn't mean it abandoned all the Quel'Dorei. And yes, you heard me right: Quel'Dorei. He didn't join the rest of us when we became Sin'Dorei to honor the fallen."
Camberon retrieves a small satchel with three vials of red liquid. "Take these. The journey to Kalimdor can be dangerous, but I think Thalnazz may be your best shot." He stands and gives you a tight embrace betraying how much he cares.
Jun 9, 2016 12:57 pm
"Kalimdor! I was sent out of Dalaran and your suggesting I go to Kalimdor. The Kaldorei would have driven us out when we were Quel'Dorei, and now that the Quel'Dorei loathe us I can only imagine how the Kaldorei will respond..." she caught herself for a moment, and allowed her emotions to subside "I could disguise myself as Quel'Dorei, surely as long as I don't channel mana they won't notice the difference. Still Kalimdor is a large place, where should I start searching for this Thalnazz?"
Jun 9, 2016 3:39 pm
"Right." He blushed slightly, caught up in the excitement of it all and began to figet. "Well, last time I heard from him, he was beginning talks with the Kaldorei to discuss the differences between their priesthood of Elune and the order of the Holy Light."
Camberon began to write something on a parchment. "You'll have to go to Ashenvale and seek him out from there. You could use the Goblin Zepplins in Tirisfal Glades to take you to Orgimmar."
With a deep sigh, Camberon handed you the letter. "I don't know what is happening to you, but I know it can't be good. Please, take care of yourself."

Smirking the Mage retorted "I always do." She embraced the alchemist one last time before leaving the store. She headed back home. Aeris was no where to be seen, though the letter she had left on the table was also absent, she assumed the rest. Retiring to her private quarters she removed an old set of grabs from the depths of her wardrobe; the vestments of an acolyte of the light. This will come in handy. She packed the robes into the travel pack she had already prepared for her trip to Dalaran. Taking a moment to consider her current dress, she decided to switch out the boots for something more suited to walking than riding. On her way out the door she collected some rations and paled them into a travel pack, including a number of diluted mana potions to help fight of the addiction. Before leaving, she wrote a short letter to his apprentices notifying them of her extended absence. And with that she headed out to the Palace at Silvermoon, to make use of the orb of translocation.

Walking up to the polished walls of the palace, the guards take only token notice of you. The corridor circling like a balcony above the regent lord's audience chamber had three elves other than you: two guards, and the keeper of the orb. She was a mage tasked with registering and recording every use of the orb. No one used it without her knowledge or her permission.
After exchanging some brief pleasantries and staying your reason for use of the orb as "personal business", the stern mage activated the orb and gestured for you to proceed.
Upon placing a hand on the orb, a tingling of magic covered your body. The sensation intensified quickly before you feel a slight pull as if being jerked through a tight doorway.
As quickly as it began, it stops. The abrupt ending of magical sensation leaves you slightly off balance. You find yourself in the decaying ruins of Lordaeron. It takes you a moment, but you eventually notice the corpse standing in the shadows, starting at you. It ... He? wears the tabard of the Forsaken and nods at you. To your right, you can make your way into the catacombs and sewers that make up Undercity. To your left, the tainted forests of Tirisfal Glades.

It took much of the mages will power to hold back her disgust as to her surrounds. Meridia hated the undead, and was in general displeased that her people maintained good relationships with them. After all it was these monstrosities that destroyed Silvermoon in the first place.

She quickly left the Undercity, heading north along the road to Brill. The glade was as disgusting as ever. The malign energies palpable in the air. This place has always been evil, even before Kel'Thuzad and the scourge. A palpable corruption that addles the mind. She walked quickly, planing on arriving a the air dock with haste.

The air dock, built by the Forsaken but run by goblins, was stationed between the ruins of Lordaeron and it's closest town, Brill. Flights were scheduled, but special trips could be chartered for the right price. Nearly anything could be done for the right price when it came to goblins. Ascending the spiraling tower of the dock gives you a new, but not necessarily better, perspective of the surrounding forest. You can see Brill nearby. Like nearly everything else in this plagued forest, the buildings looked like twisted, decrepit versions of their former glory. Forms endlessly shuffled around the town. Undead do not rest. While the Forsaken were no longer the mindless drones of the Scourge, they still looked like it.
Greeted by the goblin obviously in charge judging by his overly garish attire, you learn that the next scheduled flight to Kalimdor is tomorrow. "You're welcome to stay in the lounge until then, my dear." The price is about what you'd expect from a goblin. You peek through the doorway before deciding. The lounge has two plush but couches along the walls, a small table in the middle of the room, and some less-than-fresh looking refreshments. It all looks more comfortable than what you'd expect in Brill.

After briefly inspecting the lounge, Meridia prepares a scroll, signing and sealing it before handing it to the goblin. "I believe the Silvermoon academy has an agreement with your lot. This scroll will authorise payment for my travel expenses as per the normal rate." The goblin nodded, I will need to save my gold for Kalimdor, where the academies influence does not reach.

She entered the lounge, and seeing nothing better to do, began to meditate. Clearing her mind of the temptation of mana.

The goblin excitedly takes the scroll, mumbling something about loving invoices, which you wholeheartedly believe.
After about an hour of meditating on the lumpy couch, the only sound being goblins going about their business, scuffed footsteps announce a visitor to the lounge.
