I tried to run a game or two WAAAY back when GP first started up. I did not do a good job of it, mostly because I didn't find the time to run it. I'm gonna give the GM reigns another go, this time with more realistic expectations.
I'm running 5e, partially to learn to GM it, but also because I can't figure out what system works for the game I want to run. So this will likely be a 5e game with a ton of stuff just made up, because I feel like it. The game won't be the most stable (in terms of posting consistency), but I'll do what I can to make it fun. I'm kind of a wing-it GM, more interested in giving players a great story, rather than nit-picky rules or "realism".
Part of the game will be world-building, as I've never quite found a steampunk-y fantasy world I liked. Your characters will wake in a dungeon, wearing nothing but rags, with no memory, at all. No idea how you got there, no idea who you are, how long you've been there. It's why in the chargen info I put: consider who your character may have been, but don't create a history or personality. Character sheets should be pretty fast to put together, but there'll be a good deal of chargen in the game, as there are a number of additional details I'll want from you, and we'll kind of decide as a group how some things work out.
I'm not gonna limit this to old or new players, though given my first time GMing DnD 5e, some 5e experienced payers will be good.
