Valrakas' eyes bulge as the captain of the blue kobolds outmaneuvers him. So ye've got some fight in ye, eh? I'll feed ye to th' land sharks, ye pox-faced scalawag! the minotaur roars before swinging his horned head, wreathed in lightning and tries the same tactic on the kobold again.

"Yes, it is difficult to go out of style when you've never been in style," says Qiora, holding the scimitar in a defensive position. Again, whispers of arcane dissonance slip through her words.

OOC:
No reason to roll for those kobold, since even half the damage will kill them. @Valrakas - So a creature can fight against a shove using acrobatics, who knew?
Rhograx's spell goes off, and every kobold around him is flung off the bridge in a thunderous boom.

Rhograx earns 150 XP for routing his enemies!

Valrakas's enemy proves to be a nimble foe, as it avoids every attack and shoving attempt by flipping around the minotaur. The static in the air still does some damage, but the kobold manages to avoid any direct hits. Valrakas blocks one attack with his shield, but is too slow to block the second slash aimed at his leg.

Qiora's is having similar struggles with her opponent. The Orange Captain yanks out the arrow lodged in his shoulder, and gives her a nasty look. Seeing that it is now two on one, he disengages from the fight.

"You ssshould train more inssstead of playing dressssup, little girl."

After taking a few steps back, holds the dagger in his mouth, and dives straight into the quicksand! The current quickly sweeps him away, but you think he's headed for another bridge or boat. At least you got a new sword out of the fight...

Meanwhile, Peat drops on top of the boat that snagged Nalu. He attempts to shove the kobold out of the boat by using his powerful dung beetle legs. However, the kobold on the boat has survived a few years of fighting on the quicksands, and is able to repel Peat. Peat is knocked back on his back, and is unable to flip himself back over. The kobold continues rowing back to the Orange Pirate's boat, slowly making progress against the current.
OOC:
Qiora, Rhograx, and Kyros are out of combat. There's still big pirate battle going on, but the kobolds mostly ignore anyone who isn't a pirate. It seems that reinforcements are coming in from further bridges, it would be a good idea to get out of here while you can.

Valrakas is still fighting the blue captain.

As far as positions are concerned: Rhograx is way in front, Valrakas is about 30 ft back from Rhograx, and Nalu is about 15 ft from Valrakas, and everyone else is about 10 ft from Nalu.

Ignoring Rhograx for the moment, Qiora takes her sling and aims for the kobold in the boat containing Peat and Nalu. At the last second, she calls out to that kobold, "Oy! I suggest you let the sprite and dung beetle go!"
OOC:
Casting Suggestion, WIS save DC 14

OOC:
You are keeping track of your own XP.
Qiora's spell takes root in the kobold, and he quickly stops rowing and releases Peat and Nalu. Well, release is a generous word for it, as he threw them off his boat and into the sandy river. Nalu is able to fly out, but Peat must grab onto something to avoid being swept away.

Peat struggles at first, but manages to get a good grip on a rock spire with his claw after Nalu helped out. After taking a short breather, the duo pull themselves up to the top of the bridge.
OOC:
Valrakas is still in his fight. Once that is settled the party can determine their next action.

Valrakas's attack finally lands, and it does a number on the kobold. However, it's the electric magic that finally finishes off the captain. His blue captains hat falls to the ground, and his body falls into to rushing current below.

Valrakas earns 100 XP for routing his enemy!
OOC:
Now that everyone has recuperated, you are free to move on

Rolls

Blue Cap DEX save - (1d20+2)

(2) + 2 = 4

Dec 28, 2016 8:42 am
"HAH! Finally got ye, ye wee bugger!" Valrakas takes the kobold captain's little blue hat and wears it on one horn tip. The minotaur then forges ahead across the bridge, snarling at any other kobolds that get in his way.

The party leaves the chaos behind, and moves on. About an hour later you finally reach the end of the bridges, thankful to be back on solid ground.

"Well, that got pretty bad, but it could've been worse! It's only about two more hours until we reach the forest! We should get there in the evening."
Dec 29, 2016 1:50 pm
"That was good thinking matey!" Valrakas congratulates Rhograx, slapping the dragonborn on the back.

Qiora presses a hand to her side, humming an arcane song to knit her wounds.

Rolls

Cure Wounds - (1d8+4)

Rhograx sings a little diddy about Max and Dione as they walk.
Jan 5, 2017 10:54 am
The last leg of the trip goes well, no giant bug attacks nor any sand pirates. The wasteland scenery slowly shifts to a slightly greener wasteland, and then finally a few shrubberies and trees start to appear. When the forest comes into view, it's definitely a unique sight that the artists of Genera would have never imagined. Orange sand blends into coarse, red grasses and brush. Strange, tall trees (Nalu called them 'Palm') and dry riverbeds cover the landscape, eagerly awaiting this year's rainfall. Animals either burrow, hide in the crags, or make nests inside the dead leaves of the palm trees.

If there were any sprite guards, they were well hidden. You don't see any of Nalu's kind until the party reaches a deeper section of the forest. Tiny villages dot the trees. Some of the fey boldly go about their business, while others hide themselves with camouflage and magic. Most of the fey that aren't hidden look completely plastered, as if they had spent the day drinking. At a certain point, a sort of greeting party waits for the group.

"Well met, brave warriors of Genera! I'm glad to see you have arrived safely. My name is Garlend, and I've been trusted to guide your stay here in the forest."

Nalu is quickly shooed away, and his presence is replaced by fairy guards mounted on magnificent looking foxes. They are tiny foxes, but they still look pretty regal. Nalu manages to spit out a farewell before he and Peat are herded away.

"Ah, g-goodbye!"
OOC:
Everyone roll a CON save and breath that tasty forest air.

Also, before I forget. @Rhograx - Will you sing to the eggs before you sleep, or keep it quiet?
