The Gods Speak...

(This game is to test out the new feature where the public can comment on games they are 'not in'. It uses The Sundered Land --an inverted game of one player and many GMs-- by the Bakers of PbtA fame.)

I'm a warrior seeking peace and an end to bloodshed. I'm on pilgrimage to the Temple to No Gods in the distant City of Gulls. My pilgrimage has brought me to [a random, bad place], inhabited by [random enemies]. My goal is to pass safely through and continue my pilgrimage.

You, my friends online, play the world. Your goal is to see me to my doom, instead of safely on my way. You're allowed only to directly answer my direct questions, though, so you might not be able to do it.

The rules:
1. Only answer my questions.
2. If you don't already know the answer, make something up.
3. Keep your answers short.
4. If your answer's disruptive, I'm allowed to delete it.
5. Otherwise, I have to go with the first answer somebody gives.

By RAW I take the first answer. But if time has passed in the real, I will look at the end of the thread to see if a majority have picked another, and use that instead.

These "Open to the Public Threads" --for games you are not in-- disappear from the screen quite fast, so it might behoove you to subscribe to maintain the appearance of godly awareness. :)

I also don't know about having two threads. But things can get messy in this one and make it very hard for newcomers to read the story and catch up if it is mixed in.

The Hyenas are attacking something but it's not you it's something larger and it might kill both of you a truce might be your only option.

What comes next?

A blazing sun rises in the east, casting stark shadows. The shadow mother! Your target. Now to get its tears.

The ghosts have noticed you but do not hinder you. They sing a plaintive lament. And you realize the hyenas are conduits; their songs are echoes from this shadow realm.
