'PbtA' covers a wide range. Which games interested you, and which have you tried. PbtA also covers many genres, what sort of thing are you interested in? Feel free to answer this here, or in the public thread so everyone can know.

Have you played Ironsworn? Have you done it with other people? I am always interested in people's experience with it. I have done a little bit of solo --but struggle to motivate to keep it going-- and run a few Guided games, and am thinking about running a Guided Starforged game here.

I can also recomend bowlofspinach's Tutorial Game as a good way to become familiar with general PbP stuff.

Take a look at the Help! thread for guidance. Feel free to ask any question here or in the General Chat depending on where they seem relevant.

You can find the Game's Rule Book copied here for easy access. You may find Character Creation section useful as well.

I ran into the same issue of struggling to keep it going solo. Waiting for physical book and assets for Starforged to try it co-op with my wife. Ironlands too grimdark for her tastes. More room to do not so dark games in Starforged, it seems.
Will try that game as well, but wanting to keep it simple with one game at a time to start.

There are some tricks, by, ironically, they involve 'other people'. :)
Best success I have had was pretending I was writing my journal for others, that way I put the effort into proper descriptions and kept it interesting. Never plan to show to people, but pretending helped with the quality. :)
I really like the updated rules for Starforged. They run a lot smoother, and Ironsworn was pretty smooth already

I am less keen on the Truths than I was for Ironsworn's. There are only a few that I am actually interested in, while with Ironsworn I could see all sorts of possibilities for combining many of them.
I have done less grimdark Ironsworn games. It fits samurai as well it fits viking, and neither of them need to be grimdark. I am not a grimdark (or even dark) fan.
Bowl's game only takes a few hours. It is less a game as it is a tutorial in game's clothing.

Of course, I am not implying that you need to do bowl's game, just that it is quite good.
