Chapter 4 - Power Vacuum

Behind the counter of the empty store stands Baksed Shipburn, owner of Falu Equipment Repair, looking intently at a data pad. He gives Kip and Gurag a quick nod.

"Let me know if you need anything." he says, and turns his attention back to the pad.

Peering over the top of his glasses, Baksed puts the data pad onto the counter and stands up.

"You're not who I was expecting... Who is it that you represent?" - it's clear from his tone that he is more than a little suspicious - and it's just not his attention that has been gained by the mention of the package.

A familiar face, with a worried expression, quickly peeks out from the work area behind the counter before just as quickly pulling back out of sight.

Baksed doesn't seem the least bit bothered by what he's hearing. He crosses his arms in front of him and in a clear and calm manner says.

"I'm going to need a name in order to release the package."

"That wasn't so hard, now was it?" Baksed smirks before yelling back to the storage area.

"Emma! Meet these two by the back entrance with the package - I'll let the client know it's been picked up."

"'round back, as usual..." he says, pushing his glasses back on his nose and turning his attention back to his datapad.

In the back of the store you find Emma waiting for you with a rather large box in her hands. It's obvious from her expression that she recognizes you, but she doesn't appear all too happy to see you.

"Didn't realize you two were working for the Imps." she says, dropping the box onto the ground.

"It was one thing when we were supplying the workers at The Site, but this... Supporting the takeover of the security force, rounding up citizens? It just ain't right. Dad's all about the credits, but when he's outlived his usefulness to Mitzback and his Imp handlers where do you think he'll land then?"

She sighs and heads back to the entrance to the workshop.

"Just sad to see how many people seem to be falling in line with them, is all..."
