We have an opening for one player in our game - Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden (DnD 5e).

👶 Priority is given to new GP members (who don't already have many games).

📃 The players in this game write long, descriptive posts.

🎓 No experience with DnD 5e is required.

📆 This could be a long game.

🥈 You'd start at level 2.

🔎 Take a look at the game so far, or chat to us in our public ooc thread.

About Rime of the Frostmaiden

Auril, the Frostmaiden, is not some mere demon prince, vampire, lich, beholder crime lord, or archdevil - she's a god - and a cold-hearted one at that. For two years, Icewind Dale has languished in an endless night. The sun never peeks above the horizon, trapped beneath Auril's aurora.

The Ten-Trails pass, the Sword Coast's main route to The Frozen North, is impassible. Superstition and fear take hold as the Ten Towns slowly die in darkness.

Icewind Dale is a place to which people with secrets flee, but the frozen land of Icewind Dale is ancient and has secrets of her own.
Rime of the Frostmaiden is a long WotC adventure, and even posting daily, completing it will take over a year - possibly two.
If you enjoy crunchy games and poring over handbooks optimising your character's abilities, then I'm not the right DM for you. I have a rules-light style of DnD 5e play that isn't to everyone's taste.

The game has been going for about six weeks now and the party are in: Part 1 - Ten Towns.

Greetings, I am very interested. I am new to GP and Play by Post, but I am not inexperienced regarding D&D. I sent a pm as well.

Hey buddy! I remember. I hope little Alex and the missus are doing well.

Cheers. I'll leave this up until tomorrow and then take the names to the players. I don't know how we'll decide - newest member? fewest games? roll dice (probably this)?

I would be interested in this as well! I'm not exactly new to GP (2-1/2 years) but I have not been able to be part of a D&D game yet. A few starts that fizzled. Full disclosure, I do play in two CoC games presently. I love rules light play. I have never played 5e but used to play 3e IRL and have listened to a few 5e live play podcasts.

@Baltar, @SurferofSaragar, @Edmund_Balworth - Thanks for your interest. I wish we had space for more than one player. I'll get back to you by tomorrow at the latest and then I'll invite one of you to the game. Cheers.

I'll set the game to closed for applications so it goes red on the tavern.
