I hope to reassure people about the homepage changes.
Clicking the little favourite tag on a game is optional. If you
don't use the feature then this is what will happen.
[ +- ] If you don't bookmark any games
1. The games menu will have new little icons next to the games. The items on the menu will stay the same except now they'll be case-insensitive sorted and ignore emjoi for ordering.
2. The
Your Games header will be GP orange. Games in that list will be alphabetically sorted (again, case-insensitive and ignoring emoji).
That's
it. i.e. not much will change.
But what happens if you click that favourite bookmark icon on games (including on public games)?
[ +- ] Bookmarking games
1. The games menu will show all your bookmarked games. Grouped by games you're playing, then alpha sorted. How many games? That's on you - on how many bookmarks you add. Similarly, bookmarking characters will let you customise the character menu.
2. Public posts in games you've bookmarked will appear in search feeds. They'll have a bookmark icon to show that, although they're favourites, you're not in that game.
3. A red favourite games section appears holding all your favourite games. Again - grouped by games you're playing, then alpha sorted. Any games that you haven't favourites will appear in the
Your Games section at the bottom.
I'm probably going to rename favourite to bookmarked to avoid spelling confusion.
