All right, that's everybody with a submitted character. I'll do a double check of the characters and post the intro scene tonight.

I did notice that argyle_ninja needs to add the dex mod as the damage bonus to your finesse weapons. Also to your earlier question, there are two human options, as you described.

For some quick background, why doesn't everybody post a quick introduction in this thread about how their characters would appear to the others, along with their most notable trait.

Kelvin (Lvl 2 Wizard, Diviner. Guild Merchant Background) is a traveling bookseller and scribe who specializes in the acquisition and sale of rare maps and charts. He appears plain enough, forgoing anything as ostentatious as robes or a staff for a set of well worn traveling clothes and a lovingly carved walking stick which doubles as his quarterstaff when the moment calls for it. He keeps a neatly trimmed black beard and mustache and is not prone to smiling unless there is a deal to be made. He is somewhat careless and prone to blunder into unfortunate circumstances but has survived this long on what appears to be extraordinary luck, This luck is actually the result of the portents he receives from his study of the arts of divination. He prefers to disable his opponents given the chance, but is not above striking others down if his skin is on the line.
OOC:
I'll stick my starting Portents here

Portents - (1d20, 1d20)

1d20 : (9) = 9

Baroril (Lvl 2 Cleric, War Domain, Acolyte Background) is a devout follower of Moradin, the father and creator of the dwarves. He hails from a long line of clerics of Moradin, like his father and grandfathers before him. Striving to exemplify Moradin's tenets, Baroril fiercely upholds the laws of the land and is a stalwart protector of the downtrodden, particularly his fellow dwarf. His precision and dedication to his god manifests in all his behaviors, and can even be seen in the way he keeps his weapons and arms in pristine condition. Though they bare the scratches and dents of battle, Baroril continuously strives to keep them polished and clean. His dark beard is always kept in a perfect braid.

In upholding Moradin's laws, Baroril is known to be stubborn and strictly adhere to the letter of the law. He knows this can be shortsighted, however, and is working to better understand a key tenet of his god: "Wisdom is derived from life and tempered with experience." He know he is still young (for a dwarf) and has much to learn.

Those who call him friend know that his reputation for being stodgy is a reflection of his professionalism and commitment to his job, for they know a Baroril who is fond of drink and song and will sacrifice much to protect those he holds dear.

Nar (lvl 2 Half-Orc Paladin, Acolyte Background) is a grim and dour paladin of middle age. His chiseled features seemingly cut from some hard, grey stone, made all the more convincing by his grey skin. Walking with a limp and nursing a cough that seems to rarely subside, Nar would appear to be afflicted with some sickness. Though his actions and speech never belay that he is anything but aware and fully prepared to finish the mission.

Nar is dressed in clothing and armor that seems to have been stained by some blackened oil. Yet when he walks by, his scent smells closer to the grave than some flammable liquid. His great club is never far from his reach and neither is his flask.

Grok (lvl 2 Barbarian, Soldier Background) is a simple fellow. Like most half orcs he's a head higher than most humans, and built like a prize fighter. He has only known military life, and has the scars crisscrossing most of his body. He mostly wears the gentle smile of a simpleton or a quizzical look of confusion.

He wears an old and worn uniform of the local army, and has two insignias of rank hanging around his neck. One is his own, the rank of private, the other is a sergeants insignia. On his back is a old battered greataxe, a handaxe on each hip. Four javelins hang in a sling around one shoulder, an old battered satchel hangs over the other.

Grok is eager to please anyone who looks like a good champion, especially if they are of rank. He'll usually look to authority figures he perceives as good for what he should do, as if he knows his own moral compass can't quite be trusted.

He'll always try to stand up for the weak or innocent, but mostly make a mess of it if he tries it alone. He often rambles on about what 'pappy' used to say, his old commanding officer who he had adopted as a father figure.

Character review: Kelvin. DM_Meyner, could you indicate the 5 first level spells he will have prepared. Maybe an asterisk at the beginning of the spell name. Everything else looked great.

Character review: Net Aloasam. Skydut:
- you could list the halforc racial abilities under feats/abilities.
- there are checkboxes for skill proficiencies. You should have Intimidation (half orc), +2 pally skills, + Insight & Religion from the background
- choose a religion/god for the acolyte bg

Qralloq, could you please look over Nar and make sure he's good?
Jun 22, 2016 3:28 am
Hi Skydut. You should have 4 skills you're proficient in. You get Insight and Religion from the acolyte background, plus two from the paladin class.

You should check the prof bonus for saves. Paladins get Charisma and Wisdom.

Also, you should have a third spell. I think that it is 2+ half your pally level.
Jun 22, 2016 3:39 am
Thank you. I think I might have it now. I hope.
