Sarapesh is a city under a powerful enchantment. Sometime in the forgotten past an artful mage instilled in every stone a need to shift between the planes of existence. Every few days the entire metropolis will shimmer into a new reality and location, typically on the outskirts of civilization. Not long enough to be more than a fanciful rumor. However, just long enough for the droves of merchants who compose the majority of the populace to trade their wares from unknown worlds. Any who enter here witness the grandest market ever seen. When a traveler barges into the local tavern, spinning tales of a mystical city: They may be drunk, or they may have stumbled upon Sarapesh.

Many who find the city decide to stay ... its people are representative of every conceivable realm.

This will be a heist game.

Hi!

I would like to playtest my simple, simple rules called Scoundrels in run the setting called The Shifting City. No purchase is needed for this game; the link to the rules will give you PWYW access, and the link to the setting is just for a general idea of what the game is about, you don't need that book to play.

A city whose brick and mortar move between dimensions.
Where markets sell the rarest goods from a thousand worlds.
Where a hundred thieves guilds and a hundred oligarchs backstab each other for control.

I have the following ideas for rules:
* Scoundrels
* Tiny D6
* World of Dungeons

Post interest here, please.

Looks interesting! Count me in, if you decide to run it.

I changed the rules options. Now three possibilities are offered:

* my Scoundrels rules

* Tiny D6

* World of Dungeons

I’ve played the Tinyd6 system a lot, in all of its different settings. I would definitely be interested in a game if that’s the rule system you decide to go with.

I reckon we could try Tiny D6, si JamaisVu est intéressé.

I have no experience with the Tiny D6 system, but I guess so.

I started a Tiny d6 dungeon game but it only lasted a few rounds. I am at least slightly experienced in that. My other games are DnD 5e and I am looking for something different Still a relatively new player though. If that is ok I would like to join

It's pretty easy to pick up. https://www.gallantknightgames.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/TD2e-Cheat-Sheet-Printer-Friendly.pdf gives a good intro the simple rules.

To make a character, pick a Heritage. Any Heritage other than human has an associated cultural trait. Then pick three more traits (if you're not human) or four traits (if you're human). The Cheat Sheet lists the basic magic traits. The rulebook provides a list of exemplary other traits, like Strong, Tough, Hard to Kill, Evasive, Trapmaster, Survivalist, Charismatic, Deceptive ... pick something like one of those, you're good. Add a Family Trade and a Belief, a weapon, a pack of gear and rations, 10 gp.

I'm ok with characters built using the Tiny Dungeons 2e book, Tiny Frontiers: Revised, or the Micronomicon.

I'll put up a game forum shortly.
