Very sorry for the tardy posting. I’m travelling at present and time has been limited. I’ll get my act together!
Erik is ambiguous towards Pelle. At one level he admires his athletic ability, but he is also a little confused about Pelle’s academic ability.. how can you be good at both? How can you be great at anything unless you focus?

He wonders if they will be friends one day. Probably not, he concludes - bit too young, Pelle.
