About DM
Thank you for joining this game run by DM with only few years RPG experience and less than a year PBP experience.
What i lack in experience i make up for in enthusiasm. I promise to put effort into the game on daily basis and be open for feedback
But I expect each player to also invest their time and be flexible to play this game in a way which I am able to manage.
I've introduced multiple restrictions on Session 0 to prevent problems I am not qualified to resolve.
I believe I'm good at analysing module and reflecting it to players, good at enforcing DnD rules (and know them well) but not as good role-playing NPCs and describing environment. Most importantly I am not able to assist you making a coherent team and motivating your PCs to follow the hooks.
Prerequisite
All players read policies and rules and sign it off by posting "understand and agree" or ask question. And please do ask questions - those are not common practices I expect you to have questions.
Character creation
Please create your character sheet following rules described on game page
If you roll for stats roll 4d6H3, 4d6H3, 4d6H3, 4d6H3, 4d6H3, 4d6H3 in this thread
Immediately upgrade it to character LVL 2
Submit for DM review (DM will carefully check if charactersheet is within DnD rules and the rules in game page)
Types of things DM do not want to see in your PC character sheets:
I. Although I've stated only PHB races allowed I actually only want to precent a) races that have significant role in the story, such as Tabaxi minstrels b) races that do not fit the story (see point 1), for example two of NPCs are PC parents and warforged just do not have them. So after(!) you have read the story and list of NPCs you could PM me a race of your choice if you think it fits the "1". I may approve it even if not in PHB
II. I want to double check that you have followed the dnd rules
III. I love to keep mechanical things simple but story rich, so I dislike any optional or variant rules, but I do not ban them, just want to you have reason of your racial feat described in the background
IV. Nice to have: I would prefer players to choose classes/subclasses that don't use reaction to influence other character actions. If it is a damage reducing or dealing feature - it is cool. If it cause re-roll, stop movement, change advantage/disadvantage, etc for other creatures, that could make PBP battle complicatedP.S. original PCs who started game from the beginning were teleported to Chult from Sword Coast. New players are welcome to introduce alternative: travelling via ship with goal to seek Chult treasures of the ancient civilisation is the most obvious.
