It appears party is rather tired of the day walk and are slow to react, only druid is fresh and kills the strige next to her with the walking stick empowered by druid magic.
Stringe who were sucking blood from Ha'aroo detaches and fly away (disengage). Other striges keep sucking the blood

Nebula wobbles, feeling faint from blood loss. She swats at some of the beasties, but the one that had taken a big bite at her was still draining her. With a weak groan, Nebula's legs give out from under her and she falls into a slump.

Jim is a touch weakened now from blood loss and tries to kill the Strige on him but fails to do so. He grimaces as he sees Nebula fall.

Peskie Striges are finicky eaters and appear to dislike mule. Jim is sucked for 11hp now.

Ha'aroo sees his comrade go down but is worried that if he doesnt do something drastic all of his comrades will be going down. He backs up a few steps and casts sleep on the entire party that has stirges hoping these things will go down. And then gives Jim a bardic inspiration.

Shara staggers and almost faints from the immediate blood loss. Her vision swims as, without hesitation, she grabs at the stirge to tear it off her.

Undril on her turn moves to Nebula, knees, touch her shoulder saying magic words and Nebula opens he ayes seeing Half-Orc priest saying prayer.

Immediately after opening her ayes Nebula falls asleep as Ha'aroo magic put her asleep, but so it does with all of the striges.
You quickly finish of all the striges (except one that fed on Ha'aroo and escaped, but it never returns).

Out of initiative. Thanks to sleep spell Pacan turn does not affect anything, so I'm not waiting for player though it is a weekend
You soon finish your day walk and prepare camp and get to sleep.

This nigh I've rolled a random encounter, so I want you to do following:
1. Everybody take short rest
2. Decide weather you keep a bonfire during the night or not (I will assume bonfire by default)
3. Decide weather you camp close to river (I will assume dry hill away from river by default)
4. Decide watch pairs
If you don't want to include Undril in watching I could suggest following sample watching in pairs, but you could change as you wish note that both elves need 4 hours without interruption, so they could only take first 2 or last 2 watches. If Jim have any problem being on the watch with Sharagwyn you could have Undril instead, or come up with your own ideas :
I. Jim - Sharagwyn
II. Ha'aroo - Sharagwyn
III. Pacan - Travers
IV. Pacan - Nebula

Jim uses his HD recover for the short rest. Jim heals 10 points and still is off 1 HP. I vote for a campfire and a dry hill. Jim prefers to do the watch with Nebula as before.

Im ok with the watch order. Is it too late to do the song of rest to give everyone a d6 if they are using the short rest to heal up?

Ha'aroo will request to keep the bonfire going as he wont be able to see much in just the star and moonlight.

Would recommend close enough to the river where we can see or hear the river so we dont get lost when we wake up but not right on the river as creatures will probably go to the river to drink late at night and we dont need to quench their hunger before the quench their thirst

Party finds a camping place some 300 feet away from water. It is hot really a hill, just some place 20 feet above the water.

After longer discussion and Jim's egocentric behaviour party decides that last 4 hours will be covered by both elves while others will cover firs 4 hours, Undri wakes up early and join both elves during last two hours. Elves decide that they don't need the campfire

Just as usually night time is full of sounds in the jungles. But this night is different.

Those who have not yet rolled hit die from short rest, could still do it.
But I need Everyone roll initiative, but based on my timing roll everyone but watchers will be technically surprised and will only be able participate starting second round if those on watch decide to cry aloud or use action to shake up those sleeping
During Ha'aroo & Travers watch, when all clothes near bonfire almost dried they hear extra sounds from the jungles the other side of jungles and as they watch that way they see a few creatures moving their way from the darkness.

Ha'aroo beeing human without dark vision only see humanlike shapes moving toward you and he hesitates for the moment.
Travers realise those are some skeletons, but while trying to decide wether to share that with Ha'aroo first or wake up everyone skeletons dash toward you, while some arrows fly your way from the dark

Ruling for skeletons shooting shortbow at you - they have disadvantage due to distance but advantage because you don't see them - they are out of 80 feet dim light range granted by bonfire.
