The lasso hits its target and lands around its neck. It struggles against it, and Atticus can feel its strength as he holds the rope fast.

Meanwhile, the other tapir is able to escape its snare, and charges at Koram. Its teeth get a hold of his arm for a few moments.

(7) = 7

Jul 3, 2022 9:58 pm
Grom grimaces at the thought of the pain the tapirs appear to be in, and calls upon his druidic training to communicate with the creature that Igbork is grappling, with his gaze and empathetic gestures. "Come now, little one, let me heal you", he says.

The tapir seems too rabid to listen to Grom's words as it gets back on its feet and bites out again at Grom. It teeth connects and grinds into his flesh.
OOC:

The rolls says Tapir (Red), but that is obviously wrong. It should be blue.

Grom has to make a DC 16 Fortitude save or take more damge.

Action 1: Stand up (Provokes AoO if anyone has that)
Action 2: Attack vs Grom
Action 3: Grinding Bite

Koram and Atticus is up.

Round 2:

(13) + 8 = 21

Tapir (Red) Shove vs Haitith Fort DC - (1d20+1)

(14) + 1 = 15

(7) + 4 = 11

OOC:
GM, I have my shield raised, which wouldn't have prevented the damage, but because I have Shield Block, "while you have your shield raised, you would take damage from a physical attack.... Your shield prevents you from taking an amount of damage up to the shield’s Hardness. You and the shield each take any remaining damage, possibly breaking or destroying the shield."

The Shield is hardness 3, with 12 HP and broken threshold of 6. How do I calculate the damage that gets through to Grom?

Rolls

Fortitude Save (DC 16) - (1d20+4)

(5) + 4 = 9

Jul 5, 2022 6:10 pm
OOC:
So 11 - 3 is 8. So both you and the shield takes 8 damage. This will cause the Shield to be broken. It is not yet destroyed, but will take 10 minute to fix.

The tapir's teet grind your flesh and muscles and you become Enfeebled 1 until the end of its next turn. You also take the rolled damage.

Rolls

Grinding Bite - (1d4)

(1) = 1

OOC:
Atticushas the one Tspir lassoed. Is it a Strengthcheck to bring it under control?
Jul 5, 2022 7:34 pm
OOC:
It would be an Athletics check against their Fortitude DC which is 19.
Jul 5, 2022 7:48 pm
Atticus struggles to keep the Tapir under control.

"Okay, that hurt, friend - let's not do that again," Koram says, pushing himself up from the ground. Then it fights against Koram's grip on the rope, but it is unable to free itself.

"Haitith, let's see if we can get this one to the ground as well!"

Jul 9, 2022 11:10 am
OOC:
All good, thank you!
Jul 14, 2022 9:15 am
