Shaggy Shemven
Shaggy looks down, too embarassed to look you in the eyes. "My beloved have spurned me," he says and starts sobbing again. "My beautiful raven-woman!"

He continues between sobs. "Thought this raven statue would be a good gift. But stupid Shemven have failed again." he starts hitting himself on the head in anger.

Listening to the creature sob about his lady love causes Atticus to turn around and look at him. Pray tell, who is your beautiful raven-woman and why did she not like your gift?

Shaggy Shemven
The creature shifts his feet a little and stops hitting himself. "Don't know," he admits and grabs one of his bear braids. "I've seen her fly past, so I thought I'd make a mark. But she hasn't come by. In fact, all the ravens took off truth be told."

Shaggy Shemven
"Now if you are done bothering me, leave me alone to grieve in peace," he says, waving his arms as if to push you away.

Aye lad. I feel your pain but I know how to fix this. You see... This stone you broke attracts raven and their kind. By breaking it you broke the spell. But if you help us getting it back the ravens will return Igbork says to the creature with a jovial smile. Of course he doesn't know wether it's like that but it could be worth a try

Shaggy Shemven
"Oh no! No! No!" the creature moans. "Did my meddling scare my belowed away."

He starts hitting himself again muttering a little lower. "Stupid Shaggy!"

After a few punches he looks up at you. "Will you help me get it back down. I can stone shape it back but I'm too tired to drag it back down alone."

Grom winks knowingly at Igbork
Sep 2, 2022 3:44 pm
Oh we can certainly do that. If you shape the stone back into form we will carry it Igbork says and winks back at Grom.
Have you seen anything else that may scare off crows? Just so we know if we should take care of anything else...?

While he waits for an answer Igbork prepares to lift the stone with a little help from his companions

Koram steps forward and helps return the stone to where it belongs.
Sep 2, 2022 7:32 pm
Atticus steps up and helps his friends carry the statue back to its base.

Carrying the heavy statue down the hill is a arduous and exhausting task, and makes you wonder how the creature, who has now identified himself as Shaggy Shemven, brought it up the hill all by himself. At one point you need to get it past some high brushes and hearing Shaggy yell: "Pivot! Pivot! Pivot!" in your ear is not a pleasant experience.

But finally you make it all the way down with no more trouble than dirty hands. You realize that the hard work has just begun. As you try to place the upper half on the lower half, you realize it slides off and becomes crooked unless someone stands there to hold it. And there's not enough space for all of you to do the work. Shaggy shrugs his shoulders and gives a dumbfounded look: "I can't hold it in place and cast the spell. I need to stand back and make sure it will be back in perfect shape. It is after all a holy place."
OOC:
You need to make a skill check to keep it in place, either Athletics to hold it, Craft to create some device to prop it up. One person can aid by doing a DC 20 check. The aid does not have to be the same check (one can use Athletics to hold it while the other uses Craft to prop it open). The two skills mentioned above is not the only two possiblities, just the two most obvious ones. Any skill you can explain could be used. Do note that an Aid will be harmful if you end up with a 10 or less, but luckily you do have Hero Points.

And since it's a new month you each get a new hero point, making you all full up again :)

OOC:
Atticus can try and hold it in place.

OOC:
Koram isn't very well suited for this task. Best thing he might be able to do is give some words of encouragement using diplomacy, maybe.

Igbork tilts his head and looks at the stone. Then he rummages in his backpack and takes out a bundle. He opens it. It's a climbing kit!
I have this one here. Rope and pitons. If I knot the rope around the stone we all can help with stabilizing the stone. And maybe the pitons can be put in the gap in order to stabilize the stone further.
Sep 5, 2022 3:12 pm
Grom's eyes widen as Igbork presents his plan. Walking to Koram's side, and speaking loudly enough for all to hear, he says to the summoner, "Brain and brawn and cunning wiles. We have a rare bird indeed amidst our flock"
Sep 6, 2022 11:44 am
OOC:
I will allow an Thievery or Craft to fasten the rope as an Aid to someone holding on to the rope with Athletics. Will also allow two other to attempt to Aid with Athletics as you can fit more people with this plan.

Remember Koram that you can roll for Haitith as well, and he has a decent Athletics.
For ease of reference here's the skill values you all have in the mentioned skills:

Character Athletics Crafting Thievery
Atticus +6 +4 +2
Grom +1 +1 +2
Haitith +7 +0 +2
Igbork +0 +2 +4
Koram +3 +1 +2

OOC:
Bailin will definitely be one of the ones holding the rope.

"I’ll help, I’ll help", Grom shouts excitedly as he skips to a position about 15 feet from the raven stone and squats on the floor.

"I will chant a prayer to the Great Eld to help you bind the fibres of the rope and beseech our Sister Cinder to make your arms strong"

Atticus nods his head at the plan and moves to take up his position by the rope.

OOC:
Feel free to roll Athletics Atticus. And everyone who wants to roll something, just roll. We'll see how well you do and take it from there. Usually Aid has to be rolled beforehand, but due to the timey wimey nature of Play by Post I will allow aid checks to come in whatever order and sort it out in post-production. Also remember you have Hero Points if you roll poorly.
