Chapter 1: The Schoolyard

"If we can use the bikes, we can get there in no time. Can we, Alfred?"

"If you promise to bring them back in one piece," he replies. And while his tone is light, Erik can tell that Alfred would definitely not be happy if you damaged the bikes.

"I promise, that we will bring them back in one piece or else pay the price... right, guys?"

"Yes, promise" Birger says honestly. He means to take good care of the borrowed bike.

Mikey nods emphatically. He's a bit nervous now. There's no way the bikes are coming back pristine even if they don't take any real damage.

"Sure," Robbie says. "We pinky swore on it. Should go to Pelle's place?"

"Yes, let's."

Mikey's got his eye on a sleek blue BMX with jet-black spokes, but doesn't want to be the first to take a bike from the rack.

Now with a goal in mind to check on for Pelle, you say your goodbyes to Alfred and ride off towards the edge of the city on your borrowed bikes.
