Luka climbs into the back of the wagon. I do believe that we are ready to depart. She let out a large sigh, took out her prayer book, and began reading.

Good to see you here. I'm Gareth of House Devereaux. He gives a bow and a kind smile to the newcomer.

She looked up from her book, and gave a bright smile. Greetings. I'm Luka Amastacia.
Jun 22, 2016 8:53 pm
Nice to meet you. He points to the book. What are you reading?
Jun 22, 2016 9:26 pm
She holds the book forward with pride. Oh. This is my prayer book of my lord Sune, the goddess of beauty and love. It's one of my treasures I can't go without. I'm always going back to it for inspiration.
Jun 22, 2016 9:36 pm
Gareth's eyebrows raise with intrigue. "Really? I've never really had any faith of my own except for in my people as a community. Could you teach me of Sune? I'd be be very grateful."

Luka's eyes light up. Oh of course! I sometimes give sermons at our local church back in Neverwinter. Everybody is welcome there.

Putting his hand to his mouth in contemplation, a realization comes across his face. "So you would be pretty knowledgeable on the subject. That's marvelous."

Not entirely sure what to make of Holmag's stream of questions the driver simply ignores him and takes a count of everyone. "One, three, four, six, five... Five!" a few of you hear as he slowly counts, pointing to each of you in turn. "All right, we off!" he yells. Giving the reigns a quick shake the oxen start to lumber forward pulling the cart behind them. After a few minutes he turns to Holmag and simply says, "We only go this fast."

You spend the next few days following the High Road south from Neverwinter, making camp beside the trail each night at sun fall and breaking camp early each morning. The trip has been fairly unexciting thus far, the highlight being a caravan of entertainers heading north, signing tales of adventures along their way.

Early this morning your group veered east onto the Triboar Trail, known as much for its lurking bandits and outlaws as anything else, your journey still remains fairly boring until the early afternoon. As you come around a bend in the trail you spot two dead horses sprawled about fifty feet ahead of you, blocking the way. Each has several arrows sticking out of it. The woods press close to the trail here, with a steep embankment and dense thickets on either side.

I'm not awake, I'm taking cat naps in the back of the wagon. Not conscious enough during this time to know what's going on. There is intermittent snoring as I drift in and out.

At the sight of the dead horses, Colten dons his buckler and draws his rapier. The thin blade quivers in the sunlight like the tail of an angry cat, ready to strike.

Finally, something worth my time. The young nobleman thought to himself, the familiar smirk appearing on the corner of his lips.

Luka gave a bid yawn, and rubbed drowsiness from her eyes. She poked her head out of the wagon to take a look around, and upon spotting the horses, let out a gasp. She moved from her spot, and got up near the driver and Gareth. Oh my. What happened?

Luka arms herself with her mace, shield, and takes a firm grip of her holy symbol. She then hops out of the wagon, and stands next to Winstead. Stay alert, friends.

"Well they might have forgot to take the horses with them. Humm you have a point ether there really bad hunters or there waiting to see if the horses are dead.... All good questions."

Colten's hawk-like eyes scan the surrounding woods for signs of movement, his small shield held ready at breast level. If the horses were shot by arrows, the shooters may still be nearby
