Malethor stands strong against the bugbear, taking the lead in the front. He swings sharp, but the creature deflects it in his anger.

Ryunir draws an arrow and hopes to end the fumbling bugbear.

The arrow zips across the room with deadly intentions. Accurately placed passed the Goliath and Revenant, the metal tipped pierced the eye of Ripnek. The large bugbear stood, wobbly for a few moments... looking Malethor in his hallow eyes before collapsing to the ground. The other bugbear yelped, "Rip!?" stone-faced at the sight of his dead companion, he disengaged down the hallway he came.

The other bugbear has began to retreat, already making his way down the stairs. You all are rewards 150 exp for the encounter!

Is there no possibility of pursuit? I would cast Witch Bolt or Compelled Duel on that sucker to stop him dead in his tracks.

Don't see why we wouldn't be able to pursue. It used it's action to disengage so it should be only it's movement speed away.

I stroll towards the hallway, stepping over the dead Bugbear as I stalk my last quarry. To let one live would be a waste. No, if we're all still standing then they must all die. I round the corner. Once I see the remaining bugbear I will target it with my icy grip.

The Dragonborn turns the corner to see the retreating bugbear only ten feet ahead. Her deathly familiar grasp only nips (1) the fleeing creature in the butt, as he remained unfazed in his stride.

Zephyr steps around the corner, over the bugbear, into the hallway, her rapier in hand.

Sorry, I thought we were out of combat. Not sure if there's much Zeph can do at this point with Xhava in the hall ahead of her. ;)

This being our last visual. I believe the bugbear is headed to where we killed the one eye monster, if that is the case, you could of went through the top hall way.

Skeinkaldr pursues the fleeing bugbear, stepping around Xhava and giving chase down the hallway. He leaps high to bring his warhammer down two-handed with reckless abandon.

Attacking with the assumption that I can reach the second bugbear with my full move. If I cannot, I will not use Reckless Attack and instead throw a javelin. Please use either roll as appropriate!

Purple lightning arcs around everyone and streaks towards the fleeing bugbear. Malethor strides forward, pushing past everyone else to sustain the arcs of crackling malice.

Good thing Witch Bolt works even if the target has partial cover! Wasted that Inspiration though!

Zephyr, seeing the bulk of the group chasing the fleeing bugbear down the hall, thinks quickly. This room connected to both tunnels. I could probably make it nearly all the way back if I tried!

She turns and begins running. Through the door, skidding around the corner. Turning another corner as she exists the tunnel, she turns right and sprints toward the other passage.
OOC:
Using Action to Dash (30 feet), Cunning Action to use a Bonus Action to Dash (30 feet), and finally move action (30 feet). She ends up between the pillar of rock and the wall just to the north of the southern passage. Anyone exiting the tunnel is within melee range of her as soon as they hit that first patch of dirt. :) Thanks Hyp!
