Izen takes a drink from a metal flask. "I hope not. Tha bomb plan didn't work out as I hoped."

OOC:
The way forward is blocked by a carpet of fire, are you walking through?

OOC:
Can Silene slowly advance, using Druidcraft to put out 'small campfire'-sized areas of flame?
Nov 20, 2016 11:07 pm
OOC:
Well if that won't work we could always pull back and take a short rest whilst it burns itself out
Nov 20, 2016 11:27 pm
OOC:
You can but it would be incredibly slow, the fire blankets about 15 ft. by 15 ft., small campfires are less than 5 ft and the fuel source is alcohol so it would likely reignite.
Nov 21, 2016 12:14 am
Silene decides it's better if the fire burns itself out. Since it was fueled by alcohol, it shouldn't take much longer provided more fuel isn't added.
Nov 26, 2016 2:44 pm
"Um. . .well that wasn't planned." Ramiel said, loading another shot into his crossbow, just in case.
Nov 30, 2016 4:27 am
Silene considers things to speed up the process of burning the fire out. Perhaps enhancing the flames to consume the alcohol? Using her Druidcraft, she intones a few words to test this theory.
Nov 30, 2016 4:47 am
A small portion of the fire rises a bit, there isn't any other immediate change.
OOC:
It just occurred to me, you guys found an item a while back that one of you currently have that can easily bypass this predicament.
Nov 30, 2016 5:14 am
OOC:
Dust of dryness, perhaps? :D
Nov 30, 2016 5:25 am
Lacking another resource, Silene tries the opposite and attempts to diminish the flame to see if the alcohol on the ground burns up.
OOC:
Dust of Dryness is worth a shot, unless someone else has something Silene isn't aware of

A small spot in the flames dissipates revealing the alcohol soaked ground, that gets slowly reignited by the surrounding fire.
OOC:
Dust of dryness was indeed what I was talking about.
Nov 30, 2016 5:53 am
Ramiel thought for a moment before remembering the dust of dryness that he retrieved earlier from a satchel. Grabbing a handful of the dust from its broken packet, the half-elf sorcerer scatters the dust into the roaring flames.

"I hope this works!" he says as he let the dust fly.

You grab a handful of the dust and toss it into the fire, nothing happens.
OOC:
You have four uses left and I believe the packet was mended when you found it.

"Like, maybe it only works on wet stuff," says Silene. She tries extinguishing the flames in an area to reveal the alcohol.

Izen simply shrugs. "This magic business is beyond me."
Nov 30, 2016 1:15 pm
Ramiel gathers another handful of dust, timing his throw with Seliene's druidcraft this time to hopefully dry up the alcoholic liquid fueling the flames.
Nov 30, 2016 10:14 pm
The dust sprinkles over the druid crafted area and a small and deformed pellet appears.
OOC:
You did succeed on your check for identifying this item, just so you know.

Silene repeats the process, looking for an area that will either create a path through the flame, or at least diminish the strength of the overall carpet of fire.

After the powder, the fire seems to be more aggressive than before, going off your previous attempts, you gather you'd need a lot more magic if you want to stop it by yourself.
