Izen just keeps smashing the chain.

Rolls

Break Chains - (1d20+5, 1d8+3)

1d20+5 : (17) + 5 = 22

1d8+3 : (3) + 3 = 6

"Well then, shall we take a look?" Beke responds. Gently retrieving the book, she slowly starts to flip through the pages.

Ramiel leans against the doorway to the torture chamber while studying the scene, his half-elven eyes gleaming with a draconic sheen. The nobleman was most interested in the voices of the prisoners, trying to match them with the voice of the were-creature in chains the previous night.
OOC:
Trying to figure out if either of these two is the "prisoner" that the party heard the previous day. What roll would that be?

Izen's hammer smashes through the chain he was working on, freeing a single arm of Allisters.

Beke flips through the book and it looks like your typical children's bedtime story until you reach a part that has been carved out, in it lays a key.

The voices don't sound familiar to you, especially not matching anything you heard the prior night. You heard growls and squeaks, not voices.
OOC:
Storming in California at the moment and the internet has been shoddy, so not sure how active I'm going to be able to be while it's raining.
Feb 18, 2017 5:20 pm
"I believe I've found an easier way to release these two from their bindings" Béke say, extracting the key from the children's book. She'll walk over to Allister, "Hold still. If this key works we'll get the both of you released and then I can properly tend to your wounds."
OOC:
If the key works with Allister she'll attempt to free Solus as well

Izen sees the key and wipes his brow. "Aye, that'll be quicker I bet." He then simply assists Béke by supporting the prisoners as she unlocks them.
Feb 18, 2017 11:49 pm
The key slides seamlessly into the lock and a light click is heard as it is unlocked. Allister's body slumps forward, getting caught by Izen and propped up against the wall as you move over, past the young boy, to Solus and getting the same results as before.

With both men freed from their restraints Béke will visit each in turn, saying a silent prayer and laying her hand in their shoulders.

Rolls

Cure Wounds on Solus - (1d8+3)

(4) + 3 = 7

Cure Wounds on Allister - (1d8+3)

(8) + 3 = 11

After being healed, Solus does some stretching exercises. He then turns toward Béke and ceremoniously bows ....

My thanks to you for your healing...it seems I am indebted to you. Please allow me and my friend Allister, if he wants, to join your party. If we are lucky, maybe you will need our help and I for one will be more than happy to give it.

"It would seem so" Béke responds with a smile.

"But if our experiences in this place continue as they have you will, as you suggest, no doubt repay your debt to me in short order."

Silene asks, "Who's the boy?"
Feb 19, 2017 6:25 pm
Izen silently offers the cask on his back to the newcomers.

OOC:
Didn't you use your cask in an explosion?

I always imagined him with three strapped to his back. They're small, ~3/4 gallon mini barrels.
Feb 20, 2017 11:51 am
Politely declining Izen's offer if I smell alcohol, I turn to Silene...

If by the other one you mean the boy still chained on the wall, I'm afraid all I know is someone called him Brice. But be careful because if I wasn't having visions, I also recall him changing into some kind of man-rat....

Realizing that he didn't know anyone around him, Solus clears his throat..

I am sorry for my lack of manners, I am called Solus Sol'Sineamos, I am from a small town not to far away. I am afraid I do not know how long we have been here my friend and I... I want to thank you all again for rescuing us.

Solus bows to the group in thanks...
Feb 20, 2017 3:07 pm
Standing up on wobbly knees, Allister begins to stretch his legs, and arms in an attempt to get the feeling back into them.

"Thank you all for the release. I was starting to think things were getting a bit grim. Name is Allister. I am Solus's friend and travelling companion."

Looking around the room,

"I don't suppose anyone has seen where they placed our belongs?"

With that he begins to look around for his lost/taken items.

Rolls

Perception Check to find gear - (1d20+2)

(3) + 2 = 5

Feb 20, 2017 8:15 pm
"So it was the boy. . .interesting." Ramiel says, peering at the human child studiously. "It is quite unfortunate, although I have no means to reverse the affliction yet, although I doubt we are in any immediate danger."
Feb 21, 2017 1:26 am
Your gear isn't hard to find at all, a couple feet to the side is a barrel containing all your items along with other discarded bloodstained clothing -- most likely the remains of previous prisoners.
OOC:
Okay noted. I was imagining it as like a large party keg, except made of wood.
Feb 21, 2017 2:35 am
OOC:
Your manacles were already removed by Béke, no need for lockpicks.
Feb 21, 2017 2:45 am
Finding the barrel containing his gear, Allister signals for Solus to come retrieve his gear.
OOC:
Edited to remove lousy dice roll that was unnecessary
