You make your way through the cavern; carrying the dead body of the rat king, you get a few inquisitive glances from the once hostile rats that occupy the cavern but none make any other movements towards you. When you get to the surface and attempt to enter, you are stopped by Guglug "Wait in the back, i'll inform Tofdir and he'll meet you back there. We don't need dead bodies hanging around out front, scaring away potential costumers or drawing unwanted attention."

Silene waits, patiently. She absently runs her finger across the carvings upon the top of the cane while she mulls Guglug's words and disposition.

Elnorath leans against a nearby wall, contemplating the still form of the Rat King for a few moments "If that thing was some kind of lycan, a shapeshifter, then there may be more nearby. From the stories I have heard they can spread their curse to others, willing or otherwise"

He isn't hard to read, he seems to be doing his job.

Not but a couple minutes later, Tofdir appears comes around the building, holding a pouch. So...it is done?"
Aug 15, 2017 10:34 pm
"It would appear that way" Béke says, motioning towards the body.
Aug 15, 2017 10:58 pm
"Then hopefully I can put this all behind me and it doesn't sully the name. I suppose payment is in order." He holds the pouch out for someone to grab. "There is twenty gold for each of you for the initial job and one hundred for you to split up amongst yourselves as you see fit. Your boy is also awake."
Aug 16, 2017 12:25 am
"Like, you might want someone to go in and clean things up," Silene suggests. "Or at least patch the wall." She will make her way to where the boy is.
Aug 19, 2017 8:55 am
"I already planned on doing that."

You make you way into the tavern and up stairs in the room portion. You find the room the boy was left in and see him eating soft, easily swallow-able food. He doesn't seem to notice you approach.
Aug 19, 2017 5:54 pm
Silene knocks on the wall to gather the boy's attention. "How are you feeling?" she asks. "Do you have a name?"
Aug 19, 2017 9:38 pm
The boy looks up slowly, obviously still pained, he gives a shrug to your first question "Bryce Halfheart, ma'am."
Aug 20, 2017 4:31 am
"You live here?" asks Silene. She walks over to the boy, her totems of bone and wood clattering quietly with the movement. When she reaches the boy, Silene tilts his chin, inspecting his eyes and the color of his cheeks. Of course, her ministrations are hardly motherly, rather more like a zookeeper rotely examining a sedated possum.

He looks around the room then shakes his head slowly "I don't think so, ma'am." Tilting his head garners a wince from him but his eyes look somewhat normal and the color in his cheeks is slowly returning.
Aug 20, 2017 7:15 pm
Silene releases the boy. "Where do you come from?" she asks, hands on her hips.
Aug 20, 2017 8:45 pm
"Deadwood Forest. Don't let the name fool you though, the trees are very much alive and green. It was named after the large dead tree in the center that's been there for as long as anyone can remember." He scoops up a spoonful of oatmeal and slowly places it in his mouth.
Aug 20, 2017 9:40 pm
Elnorath lurks just outside the room, trying to observe the boy whilst Silene talks to him.

"How did you come to be here?" Silene asks, as she mentally places Deadwood Forest on the map of the world, specifically in relation to their current whereabouts.

He shrugs meekly "I'm not exactly sure where here is."
OOC:
Being a druid and familiar with nature, you'd know the Deadwood Forest is about an hour or so walk from where you ar; however, it is a pretty large expanse that can take anywhere from a day to a week to traverse depending on your destination.
Aug 21, 2017 4:13 pm
OOC:
To be honest, I don't know where 'here' is, either.
Silene describes their general location in relative terms to Deadwood Forest. "You've been resting in a tavern, obviously," she says. "Do you recall your journey?"
Aug 22, 2017 4:11 am
OOC:
Do you mean the tavern or landmass?
"I remember going into a cave looking for the armor of invulnerability; everything after that is kinda of just a blur. When you say tavern, you wouldn't be talking about the Fiery Grog, would you?"
Aug 22, 2017 4:16 am
OOC:
I meant the name of the area the Fiery Grog is in, if there is a name.
"I am," Silene answers. "You are familiar with this place?"
