TheGenerator's Character Generator
- Was a street rat in a gang
- Offered a job by some shady trading company (free traders)
- Worked his way up to being an Experienced Trader
Events:
- He was given a chance to risk his fortune on a possibility lucrative deal. Ronny gambled away his money, but gained knowledge instead.
- He got into some legal trouble but, managed to diplomatically talk his way out of it. (I'm guessing some kind of settlement was reached)
- He was offered the opportunity to smuggle illegal items onto a planet. He accepted and successfully managed to do it.
Mustering out:
I lost and gained 1 benefit in my events. I get 3 from my 3 terms as a trader, and I get 2 from my rank (3)

I don't think I get any skills.
I qualify! For basic traning I get to pick 1 stat from service skills. I will pick Gun Combat. which is now level 0.
Then I roll on the Intelligence table and try to survive.

Service Skills gave me Flyer. I think I have to pick one of the types. So I went for this:

Aging: reduce 1 physical stat by 1. I picked Str (from 8 to 7)
I think I'm going to stop here.

page 106) with a limit of Cr75000 and TL12. If you roll
this Benefit again, then you may either take a different
augmentation or increase the one you already possess by
one level of Improvement as shown on the table on page
106 (this may take it above the Credit and TL limit).
Do you know any details about your character's 'story', or are you waiting for the others?
Do you know what sort of gear you wish to build with your Benefits (you don't have to pick weapons from the line-items) or do you need help (I only glanced at the Equipment tables so far), or do you want to wait for the others?
We can deal with Ship Shares once we know what else the Group has access to.

As for equipment, I've got a bunch of tables to go through :p I might not finish that today.
The rules say I can spend up to 10k Cr on gear on top of my benefits.
It is saying you can only spend 10K of what you have, and have to bank the rest for after play starts. I probably won't enforce that very hard if you want to spend a little more.
During play you might have the chance to Broker (or Gamble) prices down when buying, but that should not affect your choices now.
The stuff you buy now is the stuff you start with, and is, in a way, therefore more part of your character's flavour more than their equipment.
Those don't count towards the 10k, right?
