With Merana seemingly sold without question, her statements did catch Kashi off guard and got a slight snort out of him.
"Knight in shining armor?" He thought running a hand over his face.
"If my partner heard that they'd have a hell of a field day." After colleting his thoughts, Kashi turns his attention to the man.
Very delicately, he leans forward on the table with elbow resting and hand straight up in a fist.
"Well, I do have some concerns even though my companion has seemed to accepted most suddenly. Hopefully you don't mind me running through them." A smile spreads as he lifts up one finger as if to begin counting.
"First off we have your order." He states with a slight tilt of his head.
"You are highly trained I assume. You certainly have enough skill to get seemingly real diamonds when they're truly fake." He hums as he uses his finger to gesture to the pin.
"Why outsource? If you really are here to stop all evil, then why make us do your work? Are there unknown dangers you aren't telling?"
With a moment of breath Kashi lifts his second finger.
"Secondly I find it a bit sloppy at your discussion. If this was really delicate and imperative, I wouldn't be throwing a bag of diamonds on the table. If anyone at all sees us take this it immediately paints a target on our back. Not to mention the fact if anyone is listening in with this being such a public place then it puts you and us at greater risk."
He leans back as he holds up a third finger, letting out a sigh as he continues his point.
"My third point here is information. You've told us that it's an illegal trade but what more has this individual done? Yes, it's a red dragon egg. One of the most ferocious types of dragons but in the end the color of the scale does not dictate the personality and morals it will form. If the individual is truly bad I'd like to speak to them or have some information on what they wanted to do with the dragon. The initial sellers I might be a little keen on doing away with only because most times in order to get a dragon egg it comes at the cost of a life."
He holds up his fourth and final finger.
"Lastly, I think your formation is a little strange. Maybe they know who to meet but don't know many other details but wouldn't it make more sense for the Dragonborn to be interested with two Elf bodyguards. This one is just more nitpicking than the rest but it was something that stood out."
Kashi held up his four fingers while staring at the individual.
"Four reasons. You've given me four reasons to consider not taking this job and not a single one to make me consider joining." OOC:
Sorry it's a big post.
