Love the idea!

Thread up! I'll largely be attempting to update posts around this time each day, though if we're clearly waiting on someone I'll try to give up to a day of grace. Trying to give a balance between keeping things moving and knowing everyone has lives. (Even if mine is often ffxiv)

Realistically, what should we have for equipment?

Whatever you would normally carry on you and whatever you were planning to have for this shoot

I'm gonna create a more dedicated OOC thread, one sec

What kind of group concept do we have?

The initial group was a young 20 something aspiring rock band.

I would like to continue going forward with my character from that. She's a bass player.

Whether we are her subsequent band or an alternate friend group is fine by me.

Cadence Black was born a musical prodigy. Her dad was an abusive monster and she figured out early in life that there could not be a god. She is very serious about her music and demands perfection of herself. Her interests, outside of music of course, are studies of left-hand paths such as the Temple of Set, horror movies, and swimming. She has been openly a lesbian since her sophomore year in high school.

In the last years of high school and into college years, Cade became one of the founding members of a local rock band named MissAnthropy. The band began to fall apart due to its leader singer, Mickey's, drug abuse and following his death from this abuse, the band struggled and then collapsed due a schism with the surviving members and their hangers-ons.

Determined and ambitious, Cade had begun to seriously consider leaving even before things got to a head and now seeks out others of like mind.

I could go with either idea really. A new band or a friend group where some may be musicians or just enjoy music.

Hi all - I'm new, and since I'm joining late, it seems realistic to say I'm not a member of the band. My current idea is a photog who perhaps helped the band with some shoots in the past? Maybe I'm someone's cousin who was out of town during some of the initial events.

@Elithmord You're good. We're actually just spinning up again. Whether that first run was a weird dream of Cade's or just nothing at all, yall are going to get the intro.

If I don't see any more joiners in the next day or so, I'll run this with 4. Going to give it a few and then bump it one last time.

I'm Delia Whitlow, local shutterbug currently failing at being a journalist. Maybe I'm Cade's cousin who used to do the band's album covers and photoshoots (maybe branched out to other local indie groups because it's a thing I do now).

The original band had an erstwhile photographer and videographer, but the band never got enough popularity or fame to get a contract. So, they never had albums.

If Delia is Cade's cousin, that makes sense. Cade would be looking to upgrade, put together a better new band and get signed.

Hmm, what did you guys have as far as security? Someone to keep the fans & stalkers away. He could be a friend or family member.

We didn't really have anyone in that role. Four of the PCs were band members and the fifth was our photo/video person.

No worries, I'll work on that idea then. Would your character have hired mine or would it be easier to have someone else?

A roadie/security person sounds good to me. She could have hired them.

I am thinking my character met Cade in college. They have similar interests in music and other areas as well. They are into the occult, monster movies, and FX.

After Cadence left her old band, they started hanging out more and my character joined her in starting the new band.
