Nox gives the thumbs up. "Sounds good to me."
Sep 8, 2022 4:13 pm
"That will work here, but not with the Super battle Droids." While the team shuffles blasters, Ad-hoc will try to find the best way to seal the door, hoping that the door to the B2s is the same.

Meebo holsters his pistol and then holds up one of the blaster rifles, looking down the sight. Then he checks to see if it has power. If it does, he says "I'm gonna bring this one along with me."

If it's dead, Meebo will look around for a power cell that isn't also dead. If that fails, he'll leave the blaster rifle with the others.

OOC:
@Meebo, the blaster rifle is fully charged.
After shuffling the other rifles into the Repair droid room, it's a simple task for AD-hoc to lock the door. Moving into the B2 droid room reveals a similar configuration to the B1 droids. Ten B2 droids stand at attention, their right arms bent at the elbow with the fist pointing up. The charging rack hums quietly as it continues its charging of the droids.

Meebo clicks his tongue. "Would hate for these guys to come to life," he says. He turns to AD-hoc. "Can we make sure there's no command channels connected to them?" He pulls out the droid diagnostic pad he pilfered. "Maybe this will help?"

AD-hoc answers;"The B2 models were more advanced and didn't require a signal. Locking them in is our best chance of stopping them if they are activated."
OOC:
speaking from my memory as a fan, don't know if the GM or Legends changed anything.

@Crazybirdman - you're doing pretty good. Other than disconnecting the charging rack, locking them in and hoping they don't wake up is about it.

Knowing nothing about droids, Ken is happy with AD-Hoc's explanation. 'So, landing bay or warehouse? I want to see the really big stuff.'
Sep 12, 2022 4:24 pm
"Then let us proceed to the warehouse. That is most likely to have the most valuable assets." AD-hoc says. Then he waits for everyone to leave before locking this door.

OOC:
@Ken - the landing bay is where you guys landed.
After locking the door, you head down the hallway to the warehouse. Once through the door, the space opens into a semi-natural cavern. To the right is a large rack holding 4 Vulture droids/starfighters. The area ahead extends over 50 meters. To your left, the room extends at least 50m. You see the two large doors that you saw from the outside when you landed. The is a 30m square area directly in front of the doors that is clear. The rest of the room is row after row of shelves, all full of mechanical looking items. After a minute of perusing the contents, AD-hoc is sure he could repair the entire base and several small ships with the parts here.

Nox walks around inspecting the Vulture Droids. "Wow," he says with a whistle "these things look like they could do some damage. Doesn't seem like anything for us though. Time to call this place in? All looks clear."
Sep 13, 2022 8:58 pm
Meebo nods at Nox's assessment. "This place should be worth quite a pile of credits."
Sep 13, 2022 9:05 pm
'It wouldn't be a bad base of operations,' notes Ken. 'If we could get the droids working it would come with its own security.' He thinks for a moment. 'A good location for IsoTech to do some surreptitious repairs, but maybe they'd let us stake a claim on a corner. Sort of run it for them?'
Sep 13, 2022 9:16 pm
Nox taps his temple. "I like the way you think, Ken. That's why you're the boss-man. Think you could negotiate that deal with IsoTech?"
Sep 13, 2022 9:21 pm
Ken shrugs, 'If you don't ask you don't get!'
Sep 15, 2022 1:20 pm
"Hey guys, " Pergano comms you from the ship, "Looks like we're going to have some company. I picked up a ship on passive that has cruised by twice and now it looks like they're about to land. For what it's worth, they haven't done any active scanning and I've got the ship locked and powered down, so I doubt they know if the base and ship are occupied or abandoned."
Sep 15, 2022 1:33 pm
"How do you guys want to handle this. Should we all go to meet them? Set up an ambush in case they're hostile? Go to the command center and claim this base as our own?"
Sep 15, 2022 2:33 pm
"Those are all practical options. I'll go to back to command and assess what are option are there."
Sep 15, 2022 6:03 pm
'Maybe we can get some of the defences powered up' says Ken. 'Help them take our claim seriously.' He points at the vulture droids. 'What would they make of one of them?'
Sep 16, 2022 2:12 pm
Meebo assesses the vulture droids. "I don't know. If we can't control them, they might go after our ship. Plus they're too big to move around in the hallways. if AD-hoc thinks he could control the B1s, that might be a good option - extra support, but not too threatening if we lose control. But that's on hoc. We should probably make our way to where they're gonna come in. One way or the other, we probably don't want to just let them walk in."
