Torch calls out spells to the captain - "Uh, Produce Flame, Druidcraft, Absorb Elements, Thunderwave, Entangle, Healing Word, Burning Hands and Cure Wounds... sir!

Yes of course. The downside about pbp is the asynchronicity, so you make your attack roll and add some flavour like"When we start to move this round, I will fire my mangonel."
Remember thy have a minimum range, so you can't fire them point blank

You are piloting the Hammerhead ship. Marked with green and Hf, Hm ,Hr for hammerhead front,mid and rear. So I assume that you manuvered out of the debries field and the asteroids, turned, shots your weapons and then contiuned to aim for the red squid ship Sf,Sm,Sr Squid front/mid/rearI'm trying to illustrate a angle of your ship in a square grid. Not the best, but the best I have at the moment. Please corret me, if this position is not right or you had something else in mind.

Acaelia looks nervously towards the front of the ship and the squidship in the distance. The mangonel loaded and ready to shoot it's big fat stone. Should squid ship get in sight, she'll immediatelly let it fly.
I don't know how modifiers work with this weapon. If it is regular Dex+Proficiency then it is +4. I doubt Acaelia is proficient.
("+2 whatever modifier" should read "+ whatever modifier" although if it's Dex only then it is +2 anyway :) )

Johnny has the sailors load and aim the ballista, but he holds the shot until Q has brought them closer. Finally releasing the bolt with a mighty twang as it flys through wild space at the closing Squid class . . .

"Aye, Captain!", Q focuses on the trajectories of both ships, and cognisant of the debris floating around the combatants, wills his ship to alter course to impact the pirates mid-ship

Q moves the Hammerhead into a position to attempt to crash into the Squid Ship but then recalls their orders
.... salvage the captain’s logbook from the wreckage of an abandoned ship, then return to your starting point with your own ship intact ....
but, then the ship was already damaged and at least defeating the pirates and recovering the logbook would be something, wouldn't it?

He realizes how nerve-wracking leadership is. Your orders can directly impact your crew's lives, for good or ill. He draws his bow, looking for one of the enemies to get within range, and will fire.
