At ease σ cadets: OOC and character generation
Other dice code is when making an attack roll, by adding AC14 to the description it will show a green check box when the AC meet.
Likewise with spell DC and if/when you cast a spell or other effects that are going have the enemy make a save, roll an unmodded DC roll. If it is a clear success, then you have the narrative, likewise if it is a clear failure. If it is within -1/+3 then I have the narrative as I know the mods
Rolls
Spell save CON (unmodded) DC12 - (1d20)
(6) = 6
I already have a good grasp of the character I would like to play. So let's start building her.
Edit:
Guess I rolled exactly pointbuy.
I could use pointbuy as a backup right, should/if I want to tweak a bit (not sure yet if I do)?
Rolls
Ere we go! - (4d6H3, 4d6H3, 4d6H3, 4d6H3, 4d6H3, 4d6H3)

4d6H3 : (4654) = 15
EDIT: EEEK! A 6 and a 9?!? I guess I’m going to do Point buy.
I’ll build my character tonight or tomorrow.

I was going with a Bard type.
I think he underestimated how high these seas go, but he will have fun regardless!
Ranged though and eventuallly going AT
Based on this and the recruitment thread
Player | Class | Sub class | Race | Archetype |
Calexico_Night | Druid | Circle of Wildfire | Variant Human | Druid Magic |
HeroAmongMen | Rogue | Swashbuckler | Svirfneblin | Melee DPS |
Verrain | Ranger | ? | Aarakocra | Archer |
Mathfuric | Bard | ? | Tabaxi | Arcane Magic? (I am not a bard expert) |
Cettish | Rogue | Arcane Trickster | Half-Elf or Human | Archer |
Looking at this table, I could also switch class. I don't really mind doubles, but I think it is more fun to avoid them.
That would prevent Hero and me having the same class.
And it would also prevent Verrain and me having an archer build.
Fixes two "double positions".
I assume this is ok with @runekyndig ? (not sure if you picked characters or players when selecting for this game).
Based on group balance I would be going for a tank-type then and still keep quite a bit of the character's base idea
(Abjuration Wizard also comes to mind, not sure how that relates to the bard class though).
This is a published adventure, make the characters you want. Me asking for concepts was just as much a prescreening of the potential players. Do the get the premiss of the game, or are there incomming space monkies?
At this point I am leaning towards the wizard as well, but lets compare notes @HeroAmongMen
Then hopefully we can have things set up soon :)
This was my original character idea.
She is an rogue with a short bow and will go Arcane Trickster.
She really isn't a good student, but her rich noble family send her to Spelljammer Academy in the hope she would learn some discipline.
Or rather, that is her story...
Pro's: original idea, art fits the setting best, rogues are cool
Con's: party balance, it certainly is not my firt rogue

A daughter of one of the noble families of Waterdeep. The only child to inherit her father's estate and titles.
She was being educated for it, prepared, set up.
Until thugs killed her mother. And her father remarried.
And a son was born... a son who would have priority to the estate and the title, for that is how it works in this family.
She suddenly had no future left, except the future of being a pawn in a political marriage.
She left and joined the Spelljammer Academy. Determined, with the aid of her magic, to never let anything be taken away from her again...
Pro's: everyone will have a unique character, the idea is very much growing on me
Con's: party balance? tankiness?

A paladin to Selune from Cormyr.
She applied to join the ranks of the Purple Dragons knights, but failed.
Seeking to use her talents elsewhere, she joined spelljammer academy, quite uncertain about her skills and trusting on her godess.
Pro's: very reliable as a tank, party balance, everyone will have a unique character
Con's: needs more work on the personality department
