Severian and Dracas, the captain goes on. "Guljian is a suspected purchaser of xenos artifacts, and so we've been watching him for some time. We don't have enough evidence to charge him with any crime though. One thing I will say is his behavior has become more erratic of late, and now it seems his locked himself away in his home."

Severian nods, "yes, the inquisition will oblige. This Guljian, one presumes he has some form of retinue guarding his person and assets. Perhaps you might assign us some manpower in case we meet with any violent resistance. Is that likely?"

Captain Lucian says, "Yes, I can spare a couple of Santionaries. I don't think you'll encounter any violence though. Attacking members of the Inquisition would certainly be in violation of Guljian's oaths."

If you had seen what I have seen, you would know oaths count for nothing amongst the heretical and the tainted". Severian smiles, bows his head slightly, and makes the sign of the Aquilla. Then turning to Hector, he says "will there be anything else, or shall we pay a visit to Lans Guljian?"

Hector took in the news that Guljian's person or premises had not been searched with a sour look. It likely meant politics were at work, hampering the captain from carrying out her duties.

Agreed Mr Dr Gael. Perhaps we should inquire of this fellow. And maybe there will be some work come our way in regard to the artifacts. That may be the route we need to take. Always follow the money.
