This Saturday until Sunday next week I'll be on holiday. I'll still be able to post from my phone, but might be slower to respond.

No problem, thanks for the heads up.

Our 4th hasn't been on in over a week so I'll push on without them. I'll make a post today.

Bowl, since you went first, I think you need to create a blight. Then the rest of us can make it stronger in our action.
Aug 15, 2022 3:51 pm
Do I? If so, I didn't see anything about that in the rules but it's very possible I missed it. The rule book is pretty confusing. Where is that in the book?

I do feel a little bit lost with the mechanics, to be honest. I browse the rulebook every turn but I find it kind of confusing. Maybe a bit more explanation of what Anubis is doing and what we're supposed to do would be helpful. For me at least

I agree that would be helpful :)

Yeah that's fair. The layout is the weakest part of the book. The actual rules start on pg. 120. The only goal is to kill the bbeg before you die or become corrupted. Anubis wants to kill you all, and you want to kill him first. The rounds go as follows:

1. Declare type of action (Legendary, Mythic or Titanic). The type of action determines the results of your dice.
2. Build your dice pool. Dice come from your storm rating and lightning dice pool, charging or draining weapons and/or blights, or from your Gifts.
3. Roll all your dice. The results depend on the type of action chosen in step 1.
4. Push forward. This is the dealing damage and spending tokens phase. Spend Lightning tokens to deal damage or create blights. Rarely you will spend Might tokens on Gifts that help you deal damage or create blights.

Its very abstract, but try to think of the mechanics these ways. Storm dice represent your round-to-round strength for a single turn. Lightning tokens represent your overall success: the more you have, the better you are doing. Always use actions that grant you dice before you roll, and use abilities for spending tokens after you roll.

If there's anything else I can try to explain better let me know!

Okay, that's about how I understood it. The only thing I'm not certain on is the creating BLight thing that Generator mentioned
Aug 16, 2022 6:14 am
So blights are like perpetual aoe effects that are created by the power you all wield. You can feed power into them like a battery, then drain them when you want to steal that power to make your attacks extra powerful. It costs 2 lightning tokens to create. Each character can add 1 charge per round for free on their turn. Because players share the blights, anyone can charge or drain it. The only exception is the same character can't charge and drain on the same turn, but I think there's a Gift that lets you do that.

Nezzeraj says:
It costs 2 lightning tokens to create.
If I read it right, you can ask another mythender to supply half of that if you don't own 2 tokens yourself.

Do you want to create a blight, bowl? If not I'd be up for trying it. But I only have 1 token, so would need assistance.

Yes, I posted about that in the IC

I just saw that. Lol, should have read that first.
Yes, I will gladly offer a token
Aug 16, 2022 7:41 am
Awesome. Do I still get my added thunder dice from my roll or is this an either/or thing?
Aug 16, 2022 8:36 am
As far as I can tell, yes. It also says if you charge a blight you get to roll an extra storm die (only this roll, don't add it to the pool)
But it doesn't specify if the creator of the blight gets it too. I think creating also counts as charging

Can I offer my token to bowl's blight and also charge it in the same action?
Aug 16, 2022 9:54 am
Yes new blights start with 1 charge so you get a storm die for that. Paying the blight doesn't take up an action so you can also charge.

I still have to roll my dice, but I need to check the rules to see how many. I'm not sure if my previous action was saved correctly to my char sheet. I'll try to figure it out tonight.
Aug 16, 2022 11:40 am
Your sheet looks correct. Storm dice will always be the same by default and only change when you drain a weapon or charge a blight. So now your roll is 3 storm and 1 Thunder. If you charge Sabah's blight you'll get an extra storm die.

Now, that was a good roll!
