Chapter 7 - Fire Team?
The ground is light scrub, some grass and scattered trees. AD-hoc has no trouble landing now that he's gotten control. The two groups reach the ground without further incident.

Nox, Meebo and AD-hoc can see that Ken and Vespin have put down in roughly the right direction. From a rise where they landed, Ken and Vespin can make out the city in the distance.

Tomas detaches himself from the flight contraptions. "So here we are!" he says, reaching down for his blaster. But right before he pulls it, he figures it's probably a bit early for that. Instead he begins to look around for any danger. "Ken! Did you see anything on the way down? Are we good?"

'Didn't see anything on the way down,' notes Ken. Lying prone amongst the scrub and scanning the area ahead.

Meebo wriggles his way out of the glider restraints, then gives Nox a thumbs-up. "No worse for wear," he says. "Guess we've got more of a hike than we planned."

Nox smiles just a moment at his two companions before donning a more serious look that is uncharacteristic until this point. "It looks like it. AD-hoc, how well do you traverse uneven terrain?"

Ken notes they are just over 3 klicks from the landing area. Probably an extra 10 minutes of hiking more than planned, once the others catch up. You can see the landing area and even from here it looks large and make shift.

So Ken failed the Perception roll. But he has a triumph to spend mechanically or narratively.

Tomas takes out his scanner goggles and general purpose scanner and does a thorough sweep of the vicinity, including the distant landing area.

@mephistophilis, I'm tempted to give you a defunct looking nuclear missile launcher truck, but I'm not sure you'd fall for it.
As Nox, Meebo, and AD-hoc head off towards the others, Vespin pulls out his scanning gear.

Vespin sweeps the area and finds nothing additional.

It's surprising what people will fall for (and continue to drive around when when they know it's leaking radiation).

Ken tries to keep in cover while approaching the landing area, he doesn't want to have to explain what he's doing out here on foot. Once they're nearby he will stroll in amongst the crates and fuel tanks like he owns the place, looking out for a target.

Meebo is most interested in looking for movement - both on the ground and in cockpits (if any are visible. A secondary priority would be to look for surveilance equipment that might be watching the area.
