"Deal with him!" the sailor stuck in the grease calls out. He then steps towards Koram only to fall on his back. He stumbles back on his feet and lets loose with a devastating attack on Koram, creating a large gash in his shoulder.
OOC:
With flanking that's a critical hit for 20 damage to Koram.

Koram and Grom is up.

OOC:
Koram's AC is 16 since level 2. Does he still take crit damage? In any case, ouch!
Koram, hurt badly, tries to remove himself from the immediate fight while Haitith attempts to clamber down the cliff-side.
OOC:
Action 1: Act Together (Koram moves SE, SE, SE, E, & NE; Haitith climbs 5ft south)
Actions 2&3: Koram casts Electric arc on red and blue, basic reflex to save.

Rolls

Haitith - Climb (Athletics) - (1d20+8)

(17) + 8 = 25

Electric Arc DMG - (1d4+4, 1d4+4)

1d4+4 : (4) + 4 = 8

1d4+4 : (4) + 4 = 8

OOC:
Nope, then you just barely avoid it by one. So that's "only" 10 damage.

Oh, and every second diagonal move counts as 10 so you can only get SE (5 ft), SE (15 ft), SE (20 ft) and E (25 ft).

Edit: Haitith's climb check is a critical success, so he climbs the full 10 feet down.

Rolls

Red Reflex - (1d20+7)

(3) + 7 = 10

Blue Reflex - (1d20+7)

(10) + 7 = 17

Whew *only* 10 damage :| lol I put too many SE's, you're breakdown puts him exactly where I pictured. Thank you.

Grom-rat moves 10 feet closer to 'red' and then the druid drops the wild shape spell. Grom takes hold of his longspear and thrusts it into the back of the attacker

Rolls

Longspear attack - (1d20+7)

(6) + 7 = 13

Damage (if relevant) - (1d8+3)

(1) + 3 = 4

OOC:
GM, can I spend two hero points, one for the hit roll and one for the damage roll?

...just in case...

Rolls

Longspear attack - (1d20+7)

(11) + 7 = 18

Damage (if relevant) - (1d8+3)

(3) + 3 = 6

As Haitith descends the cliff a Koram sends out an electrical charge. It hits one of the sailors, and jumps to the next who has a lucky slide on the grease and avoids part of the blast.

Then Igbork seemingly appears and with a stab hit the sailor that took the bigger brunt of electricity.

Meanwhile in the boat one of the sailors stands and lets loose with a couple of punches at Atticus. The first blow is easily dodge, and the other he parries aside with his shield. One of the other boatmen sees an opening and steps closer and gives Atticus a punch, but the boat rocks making his attack miss.
OOC:
Sadly can't spend hero points on damage rolls. But the hero point does turn it into a hit.

Atticus can take an Attack of Opportunity at the orange boatman.

Igbork is up

Purple is the one that's been hurt. You can possibly tell that his healthbar is shorter on the battlemap. And with that hit, orange is also damaged.

OOC:
I see it now, thanks.

Dammit. By Sister Cinder... Igbork mutters when he hears the muffled voice from the boat. Changing plans again he drops the torch, makes some steps forwards until he has good aim at the sailor that Atticus is currently fighting and shoots two arrows at him

Igbork’s first arrow hits the sailor hard in the chest, and he falls back with a shriek. Getting back up he shows he’s still in the fight for now.

He seems to panic however, and pushes off from the shore with his oar. He stands up and tries to push Atticus off the boat. He hits, and the warrior goes tumbling into the cold water.

Meanwhile on shore, the red sailor seems to realize there’s a little more fight in these people than they might have intended. He runs back to the ship, lets loose with an attack on Koram as he passes by and then makes a jump for the ship. He lands prone in the back of the boat.
OOC:

Atticus is up. This close to the shore, the water reaches his lower hips, so no need to swim or danger of drowning. Climbing back in the boat will merely take an action. Though you can attack from the water at a -2 penalty.

Atticus shakes his head to clear the water from his eyes. Bringing his sword around and into position, he swings hard at the sailor that pushed him into the water. As quickly as he can Atticus climbs back into the boat.
OOC:
attacking purple.

With that being a crit, do you need anything else from me?

Atticus will climb back into the boat, if he can he'll raise his shield. If unable to he won't.

Blood spurts as the sailor is hit hard in the thigh by Atticus, before falling back, dying and bleeding out.

The greased sailor attempts a similar tactic as his friend, but slashes at Hatith as he runs back to the boat. His attack is more desperate and Haitith has no trouble dodging it, though he is able to jump back to the boat with the same ease and lands prone in the back as well.
OOC:

That crit is so much overkill, as he only had 2 hp left.

Koram and Grom is up.

Grom marches toward the bank, his staff held high. At the top of his voice he shouts at the sailors, "be still! By all the gods I command you to surrender and live, it is Sister Cinders will. Defy her, and you will die a very slow and agonishing death. Bring the boat to shore and lay down your weapons"

As he strides past Koram, the druid says in a quiet voice, "there is a mystery to be solved here, we need to keep at least one of them alive until we discover what it is"
OOC:
Grom will move, ready his shield and hold a possible attack with a Javelin
Nov 17, 2022 2:59 am
Koram throws his hands up in the air and calls down lightning upon the men who just jumped back to the boat while Heitith takes a running jump off the bank and towards the man to his east.
OOC:
Actions 1&2: Koram casts Electric Arc (save allowed, basic reflex), Heitith long jumps into the blue enemy.
Action 3: pending

Please let me know where Heitith lands, he may attack for action 3

Seeing everyone is aboard one of the sailors pushes off hard from shore, hoping the undercurrent will take them away until they are out of range.

The other sailor tries to repeat the attempt to push Atticus overboard, and once again it succeeds. He falls back into the now deeper water. Success in his mind, he steps in the boat and tries to repeat his attempt with Haitith, which turns out to be harder to push overboard.
OOC:
Orange:
Action 1: Pick up oar
Action 2 & 3: Push off from shore

Green:
Action 1: Shove Atticus
Action 2: Step
Action 3: Shove Haitith

Still waiting for an attack from Haitith vs Orange or Blue. Green won't be in the position on the map below when he arrives on the boat, so not within reach.
Atticus can make an Attack of Opportunity at Orange. Or he could save his reaction to try a Reflex save to Grab an Edge as he is pushed over.
There's a possibility that orange will be killed, and in that case the boat won't be that far ashore.
