FYI : Any time there is no outside pressure, time constraints, combat, etc and do a Test I assume you are focused and/or will auto succeed but rolls will affect how you succeed.

FYI. This is a fluid game that has players coming in and leaving regularly. To those sucking around to join one on the groups I just suggest paying attention to the group posting rate. I have been in both situations where I checked/posted slower or faster than others in the group and this can cause confusion and frustration as people feel skipped or held back and bored.

Thanks for being part of the story. This game is my second attempt at a "West Marches" style game. My other one never got that mana participants so ended up more like a regular campaign. I don't have the bandwidth for another game myself or I would be tempted to join your WM game. As is I will likely keep tabs on that game and read it for reference/comparison. Any specific feedback/advice you have for me about this game/setting would be welcome.

If you click on a players linked name it takes to to their profile you can see which games they are in. It is tagged with GM if they are running it

Of course! It's a pleasure. And totally get having limited bandwidth; PBP comes with its own bevy of admin tasks and stuff I didn't anticipate, and running a sandbox game is pretty challenging anyhow.

I've already taken some cues from your game setup! Especially the info sheets; I have it in mind to make something similar for my base town.

I also think you integrate new PCs in an interesting way that works smoothly. It was cool to meet fellow adventurers en route.

I'm real excited to see how this all works out as PbP seems it will fit into my life's schedule well until my kids get older and I can socialize with adults on a regular basis again lol.

I've been on GP for a couple of months now. PbP is really convenient for players, not sure if it is for GMs.

Well, planning is more of a constant affair than the bursty prep and game of IRL

Haha, yeah it seems that way. I started doing some solo play and then saw some videos convincing me PbP was prevelant enough that I should try it out.

I've been doing PbEM as GM for the last 20 years. The learning curve—for me anyways—is much steeper here than in email. It helped that I have a website to post stuff to and can code in HTML, JavaScript, and a little bit of Perl.

Is there anything else I need to do before I get plugged in somewhere? I thought I read through the threads I needed to, but maybe I missed something.
