Just a heads-up to say that I don't understand combat mechanics at all and so, by (my) necessity, Arry will wait and follow everyone else's lead in the Patrol thread. Will try and take a peek at the Library and some of the other threads in the meantime :)

rThis system tries to keep things smple. The Refference \ What is Tiny D6 page and ~Tiny Info~ sheet have a information to help. This is the secton from the info sheet

Basically things are broken into
Time : Rounds where the party and enemies take turns. when it is the parties turn everyone gets 2 action and players can post in any order. I do this so that players can post when they have time and find it speeds things up.
Space : Zones (near, far, vary far) where moving around inside a zone is free. So running up to atack an enemy in the same zone as you does not take an action. Ranged attacks take 1 action to ready/load and need to be against enemies not close to you. So if the party is surrounded by enemies in close and there is no where to retreat then you can not shoot. If you want to evade attacks yo need to declare so during your turn, and then on any attack that hits you get to roll at disadvantage(1d6) to negare the damage

@palemantle, check out the Tunnels thread. There have been several combats in there, including the goblins, the ghoul, more goblins, and the not-mummy. (Oddly enough, I think we've avoided the derro.)

In those examples, they are usually very close in (after all, tunnels) and everyone pretty much just does the two attacks. However, the primary other options for one of those actions are: focus, evade, and move.

Focus means that the following action will succeed on a 4, 5, or 6 instead of just a 5 or 6. Statistically, in combat you are pretty much always better off just making two attacks. The border cases are very rare.

Evade gives you a chance to avoid a hit. If you have the Shield Master trait, it is likely you will use this frequently. On the other hand, a duende will never use it because they basically are evading at all times for free. So, if you make only one attack and evade, then for each hit that turn you can roll a single die and on a 5 or 6 you will not take any damage from that hit.

Move lets you move however the GM defines it. I believe here that basically means moving from one zone to another. To run away, you are pretty much required to move for both actions.

Many thanks for penning all of that, @daryen. I think I understand what you're saying. I'm going to go away and spy on the Tunnels thread to see how's this done in practice, especially moving.

I just realized my post on Tiny D6 missed some information on how ranged weapons work. Here is the updated/corrected details

I’ll be honest I was pretty sure it was only one attack per turn, but others were doing two so I started doing it too 😂. But yes I would like to switch to light.
